This is a Rare Type of Grandfather Clock by the Fact it is Musical & Plays No Less than 8 Different Tunes on Ten Bells, the Striking & Chiming Sequence Goes Something Like This, the Clock Chimes every 3 hours, it will play a full tune which runs for approx 10mins, it will play a different tune every day till the 8th day then it starts at the 1st tune it will also strike on a larger bell on the hour, it has a pin barrel that drives the ten hammers that are all of different weights. The triple Train Movement was Completly Dismantled Cleaned & Some Pivot & Bushing Work Was Needed, We have been told by the Customer the Clock Has not Worked ever in there memory & they are in there 60s, the amount of work needed was quite daunting but we got there in the end, it now will be left running & put through some testing for a few weeks , it will then go Home, the Clock Dates C1775 it was built by a Church Clock Builder By the Name of George Duninsthorp of Birmingham Who was the best Church Clock & Bell Maker of his Time, he Died in 1806 so this Clock has to be before that, incidentally it has 8 Different Tunes not one of them i Recognise so im assuming they are old church Hymns, This Clock Gave me a few headaches but was worth it as this type of Clock are often a one of a kind So any parts needed are made in our Workshop by Hand. Note the Bell is mounted Back to Front on Purpose this is to stop the hammer striking as we Test the Clock.
