This Rare French carriage clock was made by Fabrique of Paris around 1880, it is of heavy brass construction with a heavily hand engraved front brass panel displaying the dial, it has an 8 day striking movement that strikes on the hour & the half hour on a gong, the case is solid polished brass with a barley twist carry handle, the movement is displayed via 3 glass panels the rear panel being a door giving access to the winding arbors & hand adjustment arbor its in exallent condition & has been fully serviced, more often than not a service will involve completely dismantling the clock & thoroughly cleaning the movement reoiling, with clock oil which has a very different visosity to the likes of WD 40 or 3 IN 1 which should never be used on a clock movement this will eventually cause excecive wear on pinions & bushing .
