Household Cleaning Tips Using Sodium Percarbonate
Sodium percarbonate is very neat stuff. It’s eco-friendly and can be used for a variety of household cleaning tasks. Sodium percarbonate is an oxygen-based bleach agent that breaks down into hydrogen peroxide and sodium carbonate when dissolved in water. Found in many home and laundry cleaning products, sodium percarbonate effectively kills microorganisms such as bacteria, fungus, viruses, and algae while removing unpleasant odors. As a granulated powder, it’s great for scrubbing stains and stuck-on-gunk off of dishes. Think of scouring powder, but made out of hydrogen peroxide. It can even be made into a paste and used on tile grout and tough stains. It’s also super cheap and since it’s very concentrated, the recommended amounts are small.
