We recently completed a small renovation with CJT projects and couldn’t be happier with our overall experience. Carl and his team were absolutely amazing from start to finish. Professional, reliable (always on time) and genuinely passionate about the work. CJT Projects made the whole process smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend and we will be using them again for our new build next yr 2026.

I really appreciated the open communication from Carl and his team. Tradies were surprisingly really pleasant and did their best to keep mess and intrusion at a minimum. They were also good to turn up when expected also. Would rate for another reno in the future.

Bathroom renovation took 49 working days. I did the Reno myself to save on money, but was advised when the variation came through that I would only receive $3100 variation as the other $1900 was for rubbish removal. I removed all rubbish including tiling and crap that was left over, due to 3 weeks of contacting Carl about the rubbish and no one ever coming to pickup. Probably only 1tonne worth of rubbish removed by him and still had the audacity to want to charge me $1900. In the end I agreed to pay only $900, which was half of what he charged and still feel he ripped me off. I had to constantly contact Carl to get an update of where the project was going next. Sat for 2 weeks after tiling, was advised that the painter would be in a week after tiling finished. When he arrived job couldn’t be done as the plasterer wasnt finished and hadn’t been notified to come and finish straight set. So that added another week. Painter came to paint and didn’t finish but was going to come back that arvo to complete but was too tired??? Was advised by Carl he had actually gone fishing. Then had me sit around all day on a Sunday as he was meant to come back and at the last minute late that arvo he said he wasn’t coming. Bought my own mirror, when asked about the variance he gave me I think from memory $310 variance and then charged me $280 to put it in as it was an electric mirror. Told me to not buy my vanity thru beaumonts as he could make it cheaper and to what I wanted and I would get a variance. Sent pic of floating vanity which I wanted but the top area was meant to be 2 drawers and the bottom one complete drawer. Couldn’t do the bottom drawer as a whole as the plumbing was on the floor so instead I got an extra 2 drawers. When I questioned the variance he told me the price and then made the comment about putting an extra 2 drawers in the vanity??? You said you would build me what I wanted? Final builders clean was $475. Which didn’t look like it had been done. When I questioned him he said it was him that did the clean and to make sure that everything was finalised and finished. Well to my dismay I got home from work that arvo after the so called clean and there was still painting to be finished. Also realised a week after finished there was a replaced tile that had no grout. When investigating my cameras it turned out $475. Was for a measly 30 minute inside my house . So to say he cleaned and inspected is absolute bullshit. I could continue to go on but I won’t I think I have given enough examples. I am absolutely happy with my final finish but I should not have had to chase the builder constantly, chase my variation and question things that were done that shouldn’t have been. Would not recommend to anyone, as he doesn’t listen and seems to take on too much work and can’t keep up. I definitely learnt the hard way and would Not like to see anyone else go thru what I went thru
