Specifications About Cardboard for Program
Not all cardboard can be recycled. Only new and used corrugated cardboard—cardboard with brown or white “ridges” or corrugated line–can be recycled.
There are several benefits of participating in the Nationwide Cardboard Pickup Program. These include:
* Getting paid for your cardboard bales
* Saving money because you generate less solid waste and thus get a lower trash removal bill
* Saving up to 17 trees and seven thousand gallons of water by recycling one ton of paper
* Reducing greenhouse gasses released into the air–decomposing cardboard in landfills release a lot of methane
