A Maple River CRP project! All woody vegetation needed to be removed in order to make room for more grassland.

What gives? What’s so great about growing grass versus leaving the beautiful trees?

The grasses grown on these properties develop root systems that can grow 15’+ into the ground, acting as big natural water filtration system for the Maple River water source… and who doesn’t like clean water? 😃👍🏼
