I had the absolute pleasure of spending time with Christina Flach for a personalized makeup lesson, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. Christina is not only incredibly talented as a makeup artist, but what sets her apart is her knowledge and her heart for teaching. She took the time with patience and generosity to explain how nutrition, skincare, and hydration all work together to enhance your overall makeup application and final look. It was a holistic approach that elevated the entire experience beyond “just makeup.” Her understanding of skincare and makeup lines across various price points was invaluable. She thoughtfully explained why certain products work, how to choose what’s right for your skin, and where it’s worth investing versus saving. That insight alone was worth the lesson. Most impressive was her ability to teach. Christina didn’t just apply makeup, she showed me step by step how to recreate each technique myself. She broke down the application process in a way that was clear, practical, and empowering. It’s rare to find a makeup artist this gifted who can also teach with such clarity and intention. I needed to be “re-educated“ for both day-to-day and stage makeup. So, I found Christina. She taught me some mad skills that completely overhauled my look AND used most all of the various products I already owned. Bonus: She also lined up nutritional suggestions & daily rituals to improve my skin from the inside out. Two hour session a worthwhile investment.

Working with Christina was an incredibly amazing experience for this Mother of the Groom and our family. I don’t think I am the first to recognize that when getting ready for a wedding, nerves can sneak into the day. Christina was ever so patient and kind with us and our many requests and she shared a very calming energy. She is a true professional and our makeup was perfect! I was wondering if a fabulous 10am makeup application would still look great at 10pm when the reception was still going strong, and yes, it lasted from the morning all the way through to the end of the day. I have literally NEVER worn makeup in my life and decided new year, time to learn some life skills. Christina responded so quickly to my message calling for help. She made the tutorial fun, accessible, and funny. It honestly felt like my substitute Novato mom was swooping in to save the day! She made sure I never felt silly for not knowing what I was doing, did a great job showing me on one side and then having me repeat on the other side, and we kept practicing and correcting until I felt comfortable. She also went above and beyond to take me to both Sephora and Target to get me everything I needed, helping to check the right tones and colors for all of the purchases. I appreciated that she didn’t try to upsell me on products and told me where the different lower priced options would do the trick. Christina is amazing . At 45 I felt that the makeup skills I learned as a 16 year old needed an update . Christina not only helped update my look but she is a wealth of information about skin care and beauty . She is also a straight shooter and offered fun and practical tips about makeup application and tools . I also enjoyed her as a person and felt at ease in her beautiful home. I love that Christina showed me how to create a day look and shift into an evening look by applying a few quick effects with lipstick and eyes. The results were so natural and specific to my features that my husband commented that I looked “glowing “ and wondered if I had a facial. I will definitely return to Christina when I am ready to update my professional photo. She is the best !
