AVOID AT ALL COSTS! While Dr. Moll came across as kind and caring when I met him, the behavior of his staff is inexcusable and cruel. On Wednesday, September 24th at 3pm, I went to pick up my standard poodle after his neuter and gastropexy surgery. I was brought into exam room #2 by a man from the front desk and told I’d be reunited with my dog shortly. As soon as the man walked into the back, I immediately heard a dog howling and crying. I was fairly certain it was mine. Moments later, I clearly heard a woman yell “shut up” at the dog, then yell again to other staff members: “someone shut him up.” Shortly after, I heard the same man who greeted me laughed and joked, “he’ll be gone in 10 minutes his owner is finally here” (I was told to pick him up at 3pm and I was 10 minutes early). The dog continued to cry and then the woman shouted my dog’s actual name while yelling at him again. At that point, I shouted through the wall, “Bring me my dog. I can hear him crying and I can hear you yelling at him.” I then opened the door to the front desk and told the woman there that I could hear the yelling and wanted my dog immediately. Her response? “We have a lot of dogs back there.” I told her I knew it was mine—but even if it wasn’t, no animal should ever be yelled at in a veterinary clinic, especially after a major surgery. When the nurse/vet assistant, Ron, finally came in, I immediately told him I had heard the woman yelling at my dog. His dismissive response was, “I have no idea who that was.” On my way out, I confronted the man who had first led me to the room. I told him I had heard everything: my dog crying, the woman yelling, and his own joking remark. His response? “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” So let me be clear: I raised this concern to three different staff members, and each one brushed it off, denied i, or covered for the behavior instead of acknowledging it was wrong and taking care of the issue. That tells me this is not an isolated incident—it’s a cultural and reoccuring problem. We are home now, and my dog continues to cry. He is clearly in pain and distressed—and knowing how the staff treated him behind closed doors makes this even more devastating. He was there for several hours and I can't imagine what he was going through or how he was treated when I wasn't there. My dog is a standard poodle who is used to being in crates and kennels alone—he regularly goes to grooming competitions, gets groomed at salons, and has been boarded with zero issues. This was not a matter of him being “difficult.” This was a matter of unprofessional, uncaring, and cruel staff. I would never trust Christensen Animal Hospital again. Their staff demonstrated not only a lack of compassion but also a willingness to cover for one another rather than protect the animals entrusted to them. If you love your pets, do not bring them here. Edit: make sure to read their reviews on yelp as well (avg 3 stars), believe the reviews and find another vet.

I drove 30 min from downtown to continue seeing Dr. Cohen for my pets! He is a caring and wonderful vet! He takes his time and truly cares for the pets he takes care of and I appreciate all that he has done and trust him completely. I will continue to take all my pets to him for as long as possible. Thank you! Toledo family

I wouldn't come here again. Their front desk seems nice, the veterinarians are a different story. I was told my senior dog should eaten by a coyote is not customer service. Vets need an OVERHAUL HERE. DONT BE SHOCK IF THEY WANT YO EUTHANIZE YOUR PET. These vets don't actually care about our pets. They lie and want to euthanize perfectly good cats and dogs.

Simply a wonderful veterinary practice. This team adores the animals and takes great care of the pet parents, too. Wouldn’t take our beloved Boxer anywhere else.

I called in the morning because my cat was not feeling well. I didn't have an appointment, and Jennifer got me in within an hour. I appreciated this kind and quick response for my cat. Thank you

I drive all the way from the city to take my 11 year old pup Riley here. Other vet practices have sold out to PE firms and are all about profit over care. NOT with Dr Mole. His ethics and expertise are far better than some of the vets we tried to switch Riley to due to proximity. The addition to the other vets and supportive team make this probably the best bet practice. We just got another pup and with out question bring him to CAH! They also answer all your concerns and questions promptly and are always accommodating. Lastly they have DR star that comes in for thearpy and nerve damage pups. She is amazing as well! No other practice has that.

I can’t thank Dr. Moll and his entire team enough for the unbelievable experience during our puppy’s recent spay procedure. We chose this practice for the unique laporoscopic technique the doctor employs to minimize pain and recovery for our pup. The attentiveness and thoroughness of Dr. Moll exceeded any and all expectations! From the day he met Teddi to the day of the procedure, the care provided to our dog is something a human would envy. The doctor had an appointment to establish the relationship with us and spent at least 30 minutes patiently explaining every nuance. We followed up with detailed bloodwork to ensure anesthesia and procedure would be safe. On the day of the procedure, we were informed of every step and had confidence our baby was in good hands. When she was discharged, the doctor spent another 30 minutes reviewing all the details, from post-surgical expectations to nutritional advice. The technicians and office staff truly cared for the puppy and even followed up with an email the morning after the surgery to ensure Teddi was doing well after the procedure. The minimally invasive laporoscopic technique ensures our dog was literally back to normal the following day… two tiny holes were glued (no big incision, no visible stitches, no cone - just a cute surgical suit recommended by the doctor). By contrast, my sister-in-law took 3 days off from work (+weekend) had to carry her puppy in her arms to relieve her discomfort after a traditional spay. From the financial perspective, the office gave us the range for an estimated procedure cost and ended up charging on the lower end… which further proves that they truly care about animals and their well-being above all. THANK YOU! I’m grateful I discovered your amazing practice.

I recently brought my Golden Retriever there on very short notice. They were able to get her looked at and did all the necessary work. They were responsive with the many questions I had and easy to work with. I definitely trust them to care for my dog and highly recommend them.

Extremely competent compassionate care. Truly excellent. My pet had a lipoma that tripled in size overnight. They got me in right away with Dr. Edwards who is now there 3 days a week. She did a thorough exam of Bunnie and then took a sample of the tissue. Explained in detail her findings. The next day I received a detailed email outlining the findings of her blood work. Hard to find such excellent compassionate care.

Very knowledgeable and compassionate care for my dog. The vet has great rapport with my dog. Great communication. I appreciate the text reminders, emails, and online app. I also appreciate their patience with answering my questions and concerns. Professional all around. The techs even carried the dog food to the car.
