Two weeks ago my brothers beautiful Labradors - Storm, and her daughter Nala, escaped from the garden and disappeared. Nala returned after about 2 hours but Storm was missing for 4 days. We were frantic, and spent many hours searching and on the phone trying to track her down - Nala was terribly distressed too. Finally, on the afternoon of day 4 I spoke to someone at the Highways Agency and they were able to inform me that Storm had been run over and killed on the M25, about 2 miles from home on the night they disappeared. There followed immense grief, my brother and his children were devastated. I then set out to track down Storm's body. Eventually, on Tuesday, I discovered that her body had been taken to a Highways Agency depot in New Denham. I found Cherished Hearts that afternoon and will always be grateful I did. Chris and team arranged to collect Storms' body the following day, and she was cremated on Friday. The kind, gentle and helpful service we have received from CHC is really outstanding, and helped to make a particularly difficult time a little less awful. It was so comforting to know that her little body was treated with respect on her last journey. Yesterday my brother and his son collected Storms ashes in lovely scatter tubes, half of which will be scattered by us all in a little ceremony at the local lake she loved to jump in, and the other half will be kept at home in a beautiful box engraved with her photo. Huge thanks to the whole team at CHC, you are real angels in disguise.
