Chela African Hair Braiding is hands down the best salon in town! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and taken care of. The staff is professional, friendly, and truly cares about making sure you’re happy with your style. The braiding was done neatly, quickly, and exactly how I asked. The quality of work is amazing and the prices are very fair for the level of service you receive. Great customer service, great atmosphere, and beautiful results. I highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for top-quality braids at a reasonable price. I will definitely be coming back! 💯👌

These ladies get it correct every time. I am not exaggerating when I say they are the best hair salon I have ever been too. I don’t even trust anyone else to braid my hair, truly beautiful work. If I could give more that 5 stars I would :)

Well, they used to say a picture is worth a thousand words. I’ll let the pictures speak for me. The ones in red were taken the day they were done. I went back to get the parts “fixed” a few days later. That’s the last picture. They still make me think of the art work on the wall inside the salon. I’d take them down but it hurt so bad to get them done that I have to make them last at least 3 weeks. $250 because any length, any size for $200 is false advertisement. Book at your own risk

I went here to get my hair done and got head lice days later. They didn't refund me either. They accused me of lying about my experience instead of being empathetic. Edit: To clarify since the owner is being rude. This was the last place I went to get my hair done and it had been days later. I assume they possibly didn't properly clean their equipment. Regardless I had to rewash my hair to uncontaminate it (hense why I wanted a refund) . Which ultimately undid the hair they had already serviced prior. I'm not saying they're guilty, but it can't be a coincidence and I've never once had lice. To the owner: Also you can't sue me for free speech. I speculated that it was you but I never said it was. If you say it's not true as you claim you shouldn't even respond. Especially in the way that you did. Do better and stop trying to silence free speech. I shouldn't even have to post a picture. This is embarrassing for me and harassment. All for having an opinion. You should be lucky I'm not the one pressing charges. Regardless of the issue, your lack of empathy towards customers is crazy. Your behavior alone should be the reason your business gets shut down. Even looking through unhappy customers from years ago I can see your self righteous and have terrible customer service and can't take criticism. I'm done responding to you, Ive provided a picture as requested, I want nothing more to do with you. Goodbye. You can "ride for your business" as you say while also being professional and showing humanity.

In a time of desperate need, Chela came through! I had a hair appointment at another business the day before, and it didn’t turn out satisfactory to my expectations. I called Chela the next day, told her my situation, and she was able to get me in that same day! The staff are warm, friendly, and work efficiently. I am satisfied with not only the quality of work, but also the exceptional customer service I received. I will be a returning customer!

These young whipper snappers don't like being asked any questions even though it's your head and your money. Hi where the stylist is respectful. She is way beyond arrogant!

When I say that they are the coldest in Nashville, Tennessee, I mean just that they did so amazing on my hair. I’m in love with my braids and yes, I will be returning to get my hair done again. I woke up this Friday and said I want some braids , I texted Chela and she got me in at 9:15am I received box braids mid back that only took 4 hours!! The young lady that did my hair did an AMAZING job!! I love it and I will be back but these are going last a while!! Love my hair Ivory 🩷🩷🩷

Had a lady cancel on me last minute and I was able to reach out to Chela to get me in and I’m glad I did. The customer service was impeccable and she took me on the same day! I loved going to Chela’s.!’ One of the few Senegalese Braiding around..She is very personable and professional..
