Smart City Stays

Our group of four travelled to Cape Town for work and booked the 9 Palms apartments through Smart City Stays, each of us in our own room. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing from the moment we arrived. All the rooms smelled strongly of smoke and weed, and the odour had seeped into the bedding, curtains and furniture, making the place feel unliveable. Every room also had visible damp and mould problems. One of the showers couldn’t drain properly, causing water to pool. There was no consistency between rooms — some had hairdryers, mirrors, fans and basic amenities, while others didn’t. The bedding and towels had brown stains or tears. Rooms were dirty and there were even cigarette burn marks on the couches. Reception never answered our calls for assistance, and with the state of the accommodation and no support from staff, we checked out on our second day, even though we had booked for the full week. This was a deeply disappointing stay, and I would not recommend Smart City Stays or the 9 Palms apartments based on our experience.

I checked in 7th November and checked out 15th NOVEMBER my Linen was never changed they only changed pillow cases on Friday 14th. I Requested for Ironing board and they didn't give as dam. The service was just too poor this time around

Never ever again at any of the options you names the different options they all the same. Substandard quality and not any worth the money spent!!Cleanliness 0stars, value for money 0stars. Overall don’t book here! Changed in day two to another option which was even worse! 0 maintenance dirty linen! Furniture and don’t even bother getting water from the kettles! It’s rusted!!

Amazing stay! The most seamless check in process with the most helpful staff that welcomed me with open arms and made sure I knew the processes. The space was incredibly clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully decorated perfect for working from home as well, making it feel like a home away from home. The location was perfect—within walking distance of the shopping centre, shops, and restaurants, making it easy to explore the area. I needed something and I contacted the staff and they assisted within minutes.I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting the area and will definitely stay here again in the future!

This establishment cannot be recommended. It is overpriced and, in my experience, demonstrates customer service that is far below acceptable standards, reflecting a clear lack of competent leadership. While the rooms are adequate, they are overpriced for long-term stays, and the location, while decent, is nothing exceptional. The administration's handling of my deposit refund was appallingly poor. Despite numerous attempts to resolve the matter, it took them four months to return the deposit, during which I encountered repeated incompetence, unresponsiveness to emails, and even dishonesty. It was only after countless follow-ups and multiple in-person visits to the hotel that the issue was resolved. If you value professional and reliable customer service, I strongly advise against staying here.

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is beautifully designed, has all the amenities we need and the view is really stunning. The wifi is fast so I was able to do remote work without any internet issues. I was surprised with how quiet it was, despite being close to a road, I couldn't hear any cars or noise. I definitely would love to come back!

I would not recommend this company bad bad service ,misleading images false advertising and they want more money . After booking and assured a good room I was faced with many many problems. I shocked by turning fan on while pregnant, no cleaning utensils for dishes . All plates and cups are dirty. Upon arrival the fridge was dirty after being told my room is ready. Toilet seat was apart and broken . Toilet syten took ages . Block drain . Many lights not working. Inaccurate listing . Missing amenities ,dirty ,shower broken.. no mop or cleaning products when you turn on shower entire bathroom was flooded . Bath was a no no as the switch button didn't work . Misleading adds . When I complaint about all this and asked for a other room I was told I had to pay the same amount I paid in order to move . They don't care about your stay they don't fix problems...be careful when booking

I stayed at smart city Crystal Towers residence for just a night. The foyer is large and beautiful, the check-in staff are frendly, and efficient. The amenities are the likes of a 5 star hotel. Rooms are spacious with a comfortable layout.

No one answers the phone after booking as been made. I asked for the address, no reply. Now my bosses has no where to sleep because I thought booking was made. I phone almost a 100 times just no answer.
