Today I finally had my eyes checked after not seeing an ophthalmologist for 33 years. I just had some irritation to my left eye and wanted to be sure it was just an infection. I’m a month shy of 61 and I still don’t need to use reading glasses! Dr. Andrew Caster performed four radial keratotomy surgeries to my left eye and three to my right over 33 years ago. My eyes were healing super fast where it complicated things a bit. A different doctor in San Diego had done RK to my eyes, but left me nearsighted and refused to do another surgery. He left me at 20/40 needing correction to feel safe driving. I went to Dr. Caster. He perfected them! My husband could see the cuts done by Dr. Caster, which were very thin and straight vs. the fatter and more crooked ones done by the well-known San Diego doctor. I know RK is outdated. But, what I’d like to emphasize is Dr. Caster is a highly skilled doctor who actually cares about his patients and will do the very best to getting your vision perfect. Today I was told my vision is a perfect 20/20 in my right eye and due to the inflammation my left is 20/25, which isn’t the norm, but once the inflammation is gone it will be back to perfect again. Thirty-three wonderful years free of correction. Thank you, again, Dr. Caster! You made my favorite sport, swimming, so much better along with with giving me the freedom to see this beautiful world without needing a lens.

Life changing experience From the moment I walked in, everyone at the Caster Eye Center was friendly, professional, and extremely informative. They took the time to explain every step of the process and made sure I felt comfortable, never rushed. They were open to every single question I had, no matter how small. Dr. Andrew Caster and his team took incredible care of me. He’s a truly amazing man — calm, confident, and skilled. You can tell immediately that you’re in the hands of someone who has mastered his craft. The entire experience was worth every dollar. You only get one set of eyes, and this is the place to trust with them. If you’re thinking about LASIK, this is the spot. I’m beyond grateful for the results and for the people who made it happen.

It’s been a year since I had LASIK with Dr Caster, and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The results have been life changing and i still catch myself being amazed that I can see clearly without glasses or contacts. The entire team was so friendly and made the whole experience really easy and comfortable. I felt like I was in great hands the entire time. I highly recommend to anyone thinking about it!

I got LASIK 2 months ago and the awe and shock of the experience hadn’t really sunk in until recently. From my first consultation, the front desk women, to the patient counsellor to the doctor were extremely open and knowledgeable and make me feel very comfortable. I chose to do the surgery the next week as they immediately put me at ease. And the results were amazing. My day of surgery and the surgery itself was relaxing and extremely quick. Aftercare was painless & I was able to go out to dinner the same night after a long nap and wearing my goggles. The doctor personally called to check-in on me. At my next day appointment, my vision was 20/20! I had started at -4, -3.5 so I was astonished. Every day since then I have been able to wake up and just see and appreciate my surroundings. I still have dry eyes but nothing too crazy. I am able to drive at night (LASIK also reduced the halos). I couldn’t recommend Dr. Caster more! He’s fantastic and his whole staff is so welcoming.

I can not say enough good things about Dr. Caster, Laura and Alicia!!! They have absolutely changed my life. I was super hesitant to get LASIK - I have horrible anxiety when it comes to my eyes and the though of lasik my me physically sick. Throughout the whole process the entire team was so accommodating, friendly and honest. I never felt like they were trying to sell me something I didn't need and they walked through every single question I had. Laura and Dr. Caster even took time to call my parents, who were in a different city, and walk them through what to expect for the procedure and answer all of their questions. On the day of the procedure I was TERRIFIED. Hyperventilating and on the verge of panic. Laura held my (sweaty) hand and helped calm me down so much. She really leveled with me and was there for me in a way that I had never experienced at a Dr. office. The actual procedure was SO EASY. And PAINLESS. I read 1000 reviews and blogs of people explaining what LASIK was like and I never believed them when they said it was painless. I seriously felt nothing. The whole procedure took 30 seconds per eye and then I stood up and I could SEE!! It was the craziest experience of my life. I am so grateful for Dr. Caster, Laura and Alicia. Could not recommend them more.

Dr. Castor is one of the most incompetent doctors you will ever find. Because of his incompetence, he badly damaged my eyes, which in turn very negatively impacted the quality of my life. And when things went wrong, and I was experiencing severe pain, he didn’t care to do anything to fix it. I had to then run to find another specialist to heal what he had caused. Don’t let his fancy office fool you, he’s most concerned with paying the lease, not in the well-being of his patients. He is one of the worst you will find, and should have his license revoked.

It has been about 3 weeks since I got my eye surgery done, and I am over the moon. Absolutely no pain during and after the procedure, and I have no issues with my eyes now—even seeing better than when I wore contacts! The staff are also wonderful. Most of them have been working there since my parents got their eyes done 20 years ago. I wish everyone without 20/20 vision could get this procedure done by Dr. Caster!

Dr. Caster and his team are amazing ! Once you walk in just know you’re in great hands from Crystal, Laura, Roman, Alicia and of course Dr. Caster. They all make you feel so comfortable through out the whole process. They’re so professional and friendly they answer every question you have. The surgery process is painless and lasts at most 2 minutes long. When I arrived home after the procedure Dr. Caster himself called to see how I was doing and if I had any questions for him, which shows the care he has for his patients. I am amazed at the results. Don’t wait any longer and give them a call to see if you’re a candidate for LASIK my only regret is not having this procedure done sooner. This procedure truly is life changing.

Choosing Caster Eye Center was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Everyone on the team is so welcoming and knowledgeable. It’s only been a week since my procedure and I already see better than I ever have. I can only imagine how much better my vision will be in 3 months. I walked in with major nerves and anxiety about undergoing LASIK surgery and left cool as a cucumber due to the professionalism and experience of this team. Financially, it was a hard decision but if you can make it work it’s without a doubt worth it (they have monthly payment options)! Walked away with no pain and better vision.
