🎉 9 October – Day of the Valencian Community! 🇻🇦
Today we celebrate the birth of the Valencian Community, when King James I officially entered Valencia in 1238, ending Moorish rule and marking a new era in local history.
It’s also known as the Day of Saint DionĂs, the Valencian “day of love” đź’• — tradition says men give their sweethearts colourful marzipan fruits wrapped in silk scarves.
Shops might be closed, but don’t worry — cafés, terraces, and bakeries are full of life! Grab a coffee, join the locals, and celebrate with something sweet.
At Casa Rosa, we call it a perfect excuse for an extra piece of cake! 🍰
