Do NOT come to this clinic if you can help it. 3 stars for doctors. 1 star for the front desk.
I came here because we need a family doctor, and my husband has had positive experiences with Dr. Tolue. As it is advertised as a walk-in, I came as a walk in at the 10am opening time. They ask you to do this if you are a new patient. The front desk had already let two people in ahead of us at 9:50.
Everyone in the waiting room sat UNMASKED crammed together and it took the desk half an hour to even hand out masks, which happened once and they did not ask people to wear masks again, so there were plenty of unmasked patients coughing in the waiting room. I did not see them change their own masks. There is no sanitization station. The bathroom is in abysmal condition. The patient rooms were dirty. Several patients came and left unhappy with unclear communication. There is little to no system for appointments or walk-ins and several times I watched other patients be prioritized regardless of walk-in or appointment.
We waited TWO AND A HALF HOURS to even get into a room. I can understand a 45 minute wait, but I didn’t realize I would need to miss an entire day of work to access medical care at this office.
I finally got in to see the doctor at 12:38, for a barely 15 minute visit. The front desk woman said he’s full for patients, but he could accept me as a family doctor because my husband was a current patient. He told me the opposite: that he was full, but when I mentioned she offered he kindly decided to take me on too.
Dr. Tolue was kind, if not rushed, and told me we could only focus on one issue and I will not get treatment for my other issue for several months unless I go through the walk-in gauntlet again, so I’ll be in pain in the meantime because I can’t afford to miss work again.
Additionally, before I was ever a patient here, I am the emergency contact for my husband. I was called on three separate
occasions for these emergency reasons:
1. My husband had left his water bottle.
2. They were confirming an appointment they’d apparently already confirmed with him earlier that day.
3. They wanted to reschedule one of his appointments, and given him different information.
Each time, I gave them his number again so they could communicate with them, because being called by your husbands clinic is an absolutely unnecessary scare.
I absolutely need care and this is my only option right now, so I’ll be staying on, but if you have the luxury of shopping around for a family doctor, do it and skip this one.
