Reward schedules are how to modify the quantity of rewards you use in training while maintaining behavior
Stop using rewards too soon, you may reduce motivation or not complete the formation of a behavior
Use rewards too long, you may create problems later with your dog not being able to behave without rewards
Proper modification of reward schedules keep motivation high and your dog’s behavior solid when paired properly with proper and timely corrections (once you have taught your dog what a correction is and how to respond to it)
