I would like to submit a complaint regarding a recent journey with Camcab. The experience began poorly as the driver did not provide clear directions to the pickup location. After several unsuccessful attempts to contact him, he eventually called but spoke in an aggressive and unprofessional manner, raising his voice during the conversation. On more than one occasion, he also terminated the call while I was still speaking, making it unnecessarily difficult to resolve the issue and locate him. When we finally met the driver, I was surprised by his appearance. He was dressed in shorts and a football shirt, which I did not consider appropriate professional attire for a chauffeur service. During the journey, the driver repeatedly sang loudly and was frequently shouting at other road users. This created an uncomfortable atmosphere and fell well below the standard of service I have come to expect from Camcab. I have used Camcab on numerous occasions in the past and have always found the drivers to be professional, well-presented, courteous, and respectful. Unfortunately, this experience was completely different and has left me very disappointed. I would appreciate it if this matter could be investigated and if you could advise what action will be taken. Given the premium nature of the service, I do not believe the standard of this journey was acceptable. I look forward to your response.

We rang the company prior to booking our taxi to get a rough quote of the price for our ride - we were appalled to find out that the taxi driver has billed us much more than originally expected although we rang ahead. We believe that he has taken the longest route to our destination to increase his pay out. Additionally (on this extended commute) our driver did not follows the laws and rules of the road, forced his right of way on a round about, and most worryingly, our driver answered a phone call during our drive which almost led to him running a red light - we were thrown about in the back due to his harsh braking. Will not recommend or use again

APPALLING service. Called an hour and a half in advance to get a taxi and pre paid in advance, they promised a taxi at that time, no problems. I got a notification at the time they were meant to be arriving to say they’re twenty minutes late which means that I missed my train, they refused to give me a refund or take me the extra way.

Very satisfied with the service. The vehicle reported ahead of schedule. We reached the destination on time. The driver was very helpful. The cab was clean and comfortable. Most importantly, the fare was cheaper than other competitors (Uber, Bolt, airport transfers). Very happy with the fixed price offer.

Unreliable! I called asking to make sure the taxi could arrive ON TIME as I had a medical appointment. I even said that if they could not guarantee the time, I could change the time of the booking allowing even more buffer. The driver arrived 15 min late, didn't even know where she was going, use the phone while driving, drove super bad making me feel sick and managed to make me arrive super late for my appointment. Thanks Cambcam. Will never book with you again.

It’s the first time to use this company and the last time also. We had a bad experience with this company. (1) We booked standard taxi online and prepaid £6 for from Premier Inn ( City Centre ) to Cambridge Railway Station . (2) The driver was late, unbelievably he asked us to pay extra £7 as he said that his car is six seaters due to they didn’t have a standard one available at that time , even though we booked standard one . (3) We booked in advance and prepaid, but when they were not available, they charged their customers extra!!! Can you believe this ?! Actually I was preparing to give him more tips ( I still gave the driver £3 tips ) ! (4) More trouble is that you can’t find any another ways to contact the company apart only phone number. No email address, can’t send messages to its Messenger though they do have facebook page. I was trying to send the evidences , but no way you can do it. (5) I wish anyone know which authorities are dealing with such issues with taxi companies please? Certainly I will go further complaining . It’s not about how much money, but how they run the business and how they treated the customers. It’s so bad reputation for Cambridge. What a shame. Never use this company again 👎👎👎

An experience I’d happily have again. The Taxi was early. Sat outside my house and I was notified when dispatched. Simple easy journey. 4 star as the Taxi was a little dirty inside. On my second journey the taxi has been 20 minutes. I will not be using again. Down to 1 star.

Recommend avoiding this company. I ordered a taxi the previous night for a morning trip to the station, and it arrived 10 minutes late. Driver was unapologetic. Called to complain, and received a condescending and unapologetic email a couple of days later. No offer of a refund or compensation or anything. Luckily I'd allowed plenty of time so didn't miss my train, but it could easily have been a disaster.

Our driver was fantastic: early, well presented and courteous. We had an out of area destination which he managed effectively and efficiently.

Excellent transport to Heathrow airport. Clean and luxurious vehicle, helpful and friendly driver. Very smooth ride, highly recommended!
