Calm k9 Training

I fostered a dog who I was told was “too dangerous” to rehome so it was decided that euthanasia was her only option. I chose to give her a chance at life only because I knew Saul from Calm K9 and I knew that if anyone could help rehabilitate her, it would be him. Two weeks of intensive “boot camp” with Saul and she has transformed into a happy, social, lovingly gentle dog. This was over a year ago and her original owners who came to visit her were amazed at how she turned out. Her transformation is nothing short of remarkable and it is a testament to Saul’s skill, patience, and deep understanding of canine behaviour. I personally know Saul (and his family) for over 17 years, and I have seen every dog he has owned and trained. He has such incredible ability to connect with dogs on a special level of love and respect and understanding. Dogs are Saul’s lifelong passion and that’s why he voluntarily and unwaveringly advocates for them at every opportunity. Just a small example is that Saul would never eat unless he fed all the dogs in his care first and foremost (and he is so generous to them; he gives them the best of everything including fresh meat that he cooks for them daily and raw bones daily (nothing frozen) only the freshest meat directly from the human food butcher.

Saul was incredible and so helpful. He helped with our dogs barking in such a calm way and our dog loved him. Saul was very knowledgeable and explained reasons behind our dogs behaviour which also made it much easier to understand and then fix. Highly recommend Saul to help with any issues

Saul has done fantastic work with Odie (and us), in just 2 days, so we now know how to have much calmer 6 1/2 month old Golden Lab, and much more pleasant walks - without losing the excitable (but controlled), smart gorgeous pup that he was. Saul is great at given clear and simple advice and has really helped us understand how to give our pup clear boundaries.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Saul, an exceptional dog trainer, who proved to be a game-changer in our Labrador's behavior and training. It was evident from the moment we met Saul, that he was passionate about his work. He took the time to understand our Labrador's specific needs and tailored the training program accordingly. His expertise in recall and walking without pulling was truly impressive. One aspect that stood out to us was Saul’s dedication to ensuring we were comfortable with the instructions he provided. He patiently demonstrated various techniques and took the time to explain them thoroughly, ensuring we understood the reasoning behind each method. It was evident that he genuinely wanted us to succeed and build a strong bond with our Labrador. What truly sets Saul apart, is his commitment to following up on our progress. He didn't just provide instructions and disappear, instead, he consistently checked in with us to see how we were doing and if any adjustments were needed. This level of personalized attention made us feel supported and motivated to continue the training. We truly appreciate the effort he has put into helping us and our dog. The results have been remarkable, and we now enjoy peaceful walks without the constant pulling and a significantly improved recall. Our dog is happier, and so are we! We have already recommend Saul to our friends and would recommend him to anyone in need of expert guidance. His dedication, knowledge, and genuine care for both dogs and their owners are truly commendable.

Saul did wonders with our big pup, Chippie. He taught me the knowledge and confidence to control a big dog and after a 9 night stay (saul does boarding too!!! What a bonus), Chip came home a different dog. I couldn't recommend Saul enough. He's trustworthy, absolutely loves dogs and very intune with what your pup wants/needs. Thanks for everything Saul. Saul has been brilliant at helping give my boy freedom to run and play with other dogs! When I rescue max I couldn't let him off lead. Now look at him! Thanks so much for your guidance Saul!

Working with Saul is amazing As soon as we met him we were instantly at ease by his calm and understanding personality. He got so much knowledgeable and has such a gift with dogs and owners alike. Saul is our very own Dog Whisperer! With his calm and confident manner he has managed to deal with Koda’s issues in a very short period of time. Not only did he train Koda, but us as well! We humans need the knowledge and tools even though we try our best. Saul’s patience and commitment go above and beyond. Highly recommend

We rehomed Ares ten months ago; he’s now three years old and has been passed between several owners, making us his fifth home. When Ares first came to us, he was anxious, reactive, and struggled with both people and other dogs. We were determined to give him a stable, happy life, though as first-time dog owners, we weren’t aware of his full history. Initially, we tried a training school and invested in a three-hour home visit along with ongoing lessons, but unfortunately, we didn’t see much progress. Deciding to try a new approach, we found a different trainer, Saul—and we haven’t looked back since. Saul has been a phenomenal trainer, completely transforming Ares over the past six months. Ares is now a different dog, far more relaxed and comfortable around other dogs and people, even off-leash. Saul’s dedication and expertise have made an incredible difference, not only in Ares’s life but also in ours. We’re deeply grateful for everything Saul has done and continues to do for our family. We can’t recommend him highly enough—thank you, Saul!

11/10 experience with Saul! We came super overwhelmed with our 8 month old puppy, Pickle. Pickle had an overnight stay and a short training session and is a whole new dog. He walked calmly on the way back (our best walk yet), didn’t harass me when I made my dinner and has been so calm and well behaved since being home. We will 100% be taking advantage of Saul’s doggy daycare service. Saul also sent videos of Pickle during his stay which put our minds at ease and showed just how much fun Pickle was having with his new dog friends!
