We needed a new fence around part of our backyard, as well as enclosures for our trash cans and pool equipment. Unfortunately, we had a bad experience with a previous fencing company—they tore up our sprinkler system and damaged our retaining wall. Thankfully, California Fences was a completely different experience. Antonio (the owner) and Alex came out within just a couple of days of us calling the company, walked us through everything that needed to be done, and proposed a long-term solution to fix our leaning fence issues. He also provided a quote that was significantly more affordable than many other companies we contacted. The very next day, Felix and his team arrived and got right to work. They tore down the old fences, rebuilt the retaining wall, and constructed two new fences—all in just a day and a half. We were seriously impressed. Everyone on the team was professional, communicative, and careful not to disturb our landscaping or irrigation system. The finished fences are absolutely beautiful, and it was amazing to watch the team work with such efficiency and expertise. We would HIGHLY recommend California Fences to anyone looking for quality, reliability, and a fair price!

California Fences Inc in Pleasanton replaced our falling/wonky fences. It was such a good experience from estimate to final fences!! Everything was explained in detail and clearly. They arrived on time and ready to roll. The fences were down in minutes. They worked on one particular area first due to the neighbors dog and finished it so quickly. They left everything clean and tidy and hauled everything away. Highly recommend if you need fencing to use their services. Top of the line products and workmanship. You pay for what you get!! Well worth every dollar!!

We had to replace a shared fence with a neighbor and we ended up choosing California Fences Inc. We love this company for their service, workmanship, quality material and warranty. Kevin, the company rep, was very helpful in explaining the details, pricing, and appointment setup to install. The day of the install, they were prompt and on time. They installed a total of 65' of fence and a gate. Amazingly, they did everything in 6 hours with great workmanship. The fence and gate came out beautiful. No gaps, cracks, and everything were straight. The wood material was made of high quality and I see this will last for years. I wish we did the other side of our home with this company when we installed that part of the fence and it's barely been 5 years and already having gaps and cracks issue. With CA Fences, we love the results and very highly recommend California Fences Inc!

Had a fence done last month and it was a first rate experience from start to finish. I got several bids and though this wasn't the lowest bid they worked with us to lower the price. Antonio was so professional. The quality of the workmanship was so good and the follow up was impressive. They completed the project in a timely manner and cleaned up after themselves. They did everything we asked and the fence is beautiful. It is worth every penny. The neighbors we shared the fence with loved it so much they did the other side of their house thats in front of the road. We highly recommend this company.

We needed to redo a section of fence shared with a neighbor who wanted to update the entire fence surrounding their house - involving 4 other properties (more about this later). By default, they wanted to go with another company that seems to have done most of the other fences in our neighborhood. Before simply agreeing, I wanted to investigate other available options (it was a big job - so I wanted to make sure it would be done right and not be over-charged.) I reached out to several other local companies and luckily I discovered California Fences! They were very responsive and extremely professional when I asked for an estimate. The first person I met with was Jo, who came out to take a look at my section of the old fence. She spent 1/2 an hour taking measurements, making calculations and educating me on all the available options, costs and tradeoffs. Their initial estimate was pretty good, a bit higher than the other company, but the job included some significant upgrades including taller fence panels with lattice for privacy and taller kickboards to better retain the landscaping. I was satisifed, but we were a bit stuck because we had to get the other property owners to also agree or figure out how to make the fencelines match up. It took a few days, but somehow California Fences managed to contact the other property owners and get everyone in agreement. Also, they were able to price match the other fence company while still including the upgrades I originally wanted! On the workday I met the foreman Antonio and he was also extremely professional and courteous giving me confidence in the team's ability to do the job well. I was not disappointed. A full team came out and completely removed the old fence and installed the new one in less than 1 day's work. The work was expertly done - old posts were removed and they used an auger to clean up and really sink the new posts well with proper drainage. As they installed the fence panels, they took numerous measurements to make sure everything stayed square. We had plants and a fish pond close to the fenceline and they worked around them without any damage at all. The new fence looks great and the quality of materials used and construction are top notch! I'll definitely be reaching out to California Fences again to re-do another section of fence along the side of my property.

I called few fence company for my backyard fence but California Fence was outstanding in having sales person with informations i need plus Rebecca provided all information and quota right on site. My community also ask for approval and she had all work done for me to submit paper. They did my installation within one and half day with such beautiful job and quality of work. It could not be any better job. Thanks

My neighbor wanted to split the cost of a shared fence and found these guys; they looked to be a cut above all of the other contractors we were able to find and their work proves that. They were incredibly detail oriented with their bid, did fantastic work, and even pointed out small areas where they might have to do stuff like cut into existing concrete to bury a post. We weren't met with any weird surprises when the work itself was completed and didn't have to supervise anyone at all. The foreman and his crew were fantastic and left my land (and neighbor's land) exactly how they found it. My wife and I now have a seriously beefy redwood fence that's insanely beautiful and adds serious value and privacy to our back yard.

Antonio came out, walked the property, and explained how they build their fences, and what they would do differently than what was being replaced, and why. They came in a bit higher than other bids, but I felt like the quality was going to be much better than some of the other contenders. No doubt the final work was superior, and the materials used were excellent. I had another much smaller job required on another property, and thought I would just go ahead and use the "fence guy" that the neighbor used for the other side of his property. Quote came in a bit lower than CA Fences, so I let it go and let the neighbors guy do the job. While the fence guy did a fairly good job, they were clearly not to the same level of quality and workmanship as CA Fences and Antonio's team. My guess is that we will be replacing the fence sooner than if Antonio's team would have done the work. Did we really save a few bucks...? Probably not in the long run. I had two fences and gates installed in my yard. An issue with my buried gas line necessitated moving the gate from the originally discussed location, but when the crew left that night I realized the new location was not going to work. Antonio called me that night to check in how the job went. I let him know my concerns and he scheduled the crew to be back out the next day to move the gate to a better location. He even stopped by to personally oversee the crew. Overall, a fantastic experience and strong recommendation.
