California Crews

They constructed a fence on the border between my property and my neighbors. All lumber used for construction of this fence was defective. The contractor knowingly used this defective lumber to construct the fence. The contractor's quality of work was very poor. These are specific issues with the lumber: • Most of vertical pickets in this fence have cracks, some have mold on them, and are defective. • Majority of posts are also defective. They have cracks and all of them have not been properly cemented and secured to the ground. • Some of the bottom kickboards have long cracks. These are specific issues with very poor quality of contractor's work: • Many pickets' bottoms are not leveled straight • In one place the entire rail is not straight • There is a piece of wood that is laying free and has not been screwed or nailed anywhere • There a screw that is coming through the wood with its sharp end and can injure someone • There are openings in the fence and we can see through the fence in these openings. This is board on board fence and so there should be no openings. They offered us to replace a few of pickets. Replacing cracked and defective pickets and posts will not solve the problem because the entire fence has to be replaced starting with the bottom kickboards. This is "papa" company which operates out of their house. I included just a few pictures to demonstrate the defective materials they used and their very poor quality of work. All fence is like on these pictures. Stay away from this company if you don't want to waste your money.

Federico a long term skilled and excellent crew member of California Crews patiently educated us on our fence post challenge due to 2023 winter storm damage with our neighbor and us as it is a shared fence with our neighbor. Federico and his crew did excellent work in fixing the fence posts, and Joel the owner provided needed understanding and warranty help on our overall recently new fence they installed. The overall fence around our entire backyard is great. Winter storms were simply long lasting in 2023 with intense wind, abundant tree branch blow down and rain. We have used California Crews twice now, once to replace our neighboring fence about four months ago and once this past weekend to completely renovate our backyard. Both times the men were quick and professional. They worked diligently each morning and kept a quiet atmosphere to not bother the family indoors. Before they left for the day all of their tools and supplies were neatly put away. Our mess of wood chips and overgrown weeds was cleaned up and hauled away, our yard tilled and nutrient dense top soil added, high quality sprinkler system installed and beautiful sod laid over top! They also installed a privacy lattice over the back fence. We absolutely love our new backyard! All of the members of California Crew are knowledgeable their trade and take great pride in their work. Everything was angled and detailed perfectly. They even took time to show us everything and explain the sprinkler system. We really enjoyed working with them and certainly reccomend their services to anyone looking for quality work!

We had our fence replaced by California Crews and they did a wonderful job. They were very responsive, professional and met their promised time line. It was not an easy job due to the hard soil and hot temperatures but they completed it on time.

My experience with California Crews was excellent. From the beginning of my project to the end Joel was so helpful and was always available to answer all of my questions. The painting and carpeting were reasonably priced and my house looked like new at the end. I am completely satisfied!
