My visit to Cafe Istanbul was a mixed bag. While the Turkish tea was absolutely delightful, the food, unfortunately, fell short of expectations. It wasn't terrible, but definitely below average. The flavors lacked depth, and the dishes themselves felt a bit uninspired. The service also left room for improvement. The crew seemed inexperienced, with some confusion over orders and delays in bringing out food. I'm sure a bit more training would go a long way in enhancing the dining experience. Overall: Cafe Istanbul has potential, but it needs to work on its food and service to truly stand out. With some tweaks, it could be a great spot for a casual Turkish meal and a fantastic cup of tea.

I believe the service could be improved to be more professional, especially at this location. We experienced two instances where servers dropped items from finished dishes—one of which involved a butter knife falling onto one of my guests' laps, staining their trousers. In another incident, a server brought a side plate with a new set of fork and butter knife, and the fork fell on the floor during our dinner. I was also delayed in receiving my mint lemonade, while everyone else received their ordered drinks. They could have placed water on the table before serving the drinks. Meanwhile, I ordered lamb chops and two of my lamb chops were missing their bone as seen in the photo. Anyways, unlikely to visit this location.

We went there for a breakfast and I accidently ate the dishsoap on my cucumber. The taste was aweful. They still charged us. The breakfast is not like a Turkish breakfast at all and the prices are high considering the bad service. I had the worse experience possible. As a Turk, I dont suggest going there. Find someplace else

Excellent food! Mouthwatering taste. Authentic Turkish food. We had beef bowl, gyro wrap & Turkish Kabab roll. The portion served was more than enough. Menu offers variety of options to choose from. Affordable pricing and foods are all Halal. The interior of the dining area is well decorated and kept very simple. I would highly recommend this place. All the staffs are very friendly &. Welcoming.

After looking for Adana kebabs we found this place it has amazing Adana in Lavash bread. Kebabs come with rice and roasted veges. The chicken kebab platter was juicy and delicious. We also ordered the baklava for dessert with icecream scoop.

Nice cafe setting in the strip of Beverly Hills drive. The waitresses are nice and very sweet ladies who keep the venue very neat. We enjoyed an early dinner date ❤️ Lamb chops were the best ever non compared to any others we've had even in pricier restaurants. We enjoyed a delicious Turkish coffee and tea! Parking lot is either located on the strip or right next to the cafe their is a lot where you pay $5 p/h. We are definitely going back because it was such an experience,Very much recommended!

Quite a few Turkish customers come here indicating the food is authentic. The pilaf rice is awesome and the tilapia fish was good as well

Perfect lunch! Lunch was great. Atmosphere was peaceful. Service was great as well. Exactly what we needed. We had the vegetarian combo and the donor beef shawarma plate. We also had the moussaka. So good I am gluten free and didn't have any trouble with options and had PLENTY to eat.

Not only is the food delicious and fairly authentic, but the staff is amazing, personable, attentive, and kind. On this last visit there was no outside seating due to the rain (which is where I usual prefer to sit), but the inside was perfectly good as well. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend this restaurant for a good, hearty meal.

As a Turk..... This place was terrible. Service was bad, no one knew anything about Turkish cuisine. (I don't mind not having Turkish staff of course, but at least train the staff on what they are serving). They charge an extra 18% for having a bill that is over $150... That makes no sense, then the server made it a point to tell me that it is NOT a gratuity so we still needed to leave a tip. I asked why are we being charged the 18%? He said well on a big check it's harder to process... What ??? I've been a waitress in Manhattan for a good chunk of my life and I have NEVER run into that. No upscale place I ever worked in has asked this of people. The food was mediocre, I've had much better Turkish food at more run down places. Huge disappointment to both Turkish people and Turkish cuisine. Putting a bad name/experience out there to unsuspecting tourists. If you go -- this isn't an accurate representation of Turkish food, and make sure you split up your bill so you don't get charged 18% extra. 🙄🙄🤮
