Brunch bliss at Café Bernard! Their steak & eggs with crispy fries and multigrain toast were absolutely delicious — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The only downside was the jam, which could use an upgrade. A special mention to Anabel, my lovely and professional server who made the experience even better. I’ve been twice already — the burger the first time was spot on too! Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Basalt

We had a great dinner here on our mini honeymoon. We chose this restaurant for my grandfathers namesake and it was a great surprise. The risotto and bison burger were both so flavorful and the hostess / waitress was very kind and professional!

First time visiting Café Bernard and I was fascinated. I ordered a tuna sandwich which was delicious. All the flavors feel like home, it’s a place I would definitely visit again. The place and the atmosphere are very warm. If you want a good breakfast don't hesitate to visit it will be worth it.

Lots to choose from, and all 6 of us loved our variety of appetizers, entrees and desserts--every single thing was delicious. The atmosphere is warm and charming; our server could not have been nicer or more efficient. The best experience we've had in Basalt or Aspen.

Waited a long time to order. Ordered an omelette with crab, and eggs Benedict with ham. Omelette was fishy and soggy. The extra side of toast (one slice for $3.12!) was burnt. The eggs in the Benedict were overdone (yolk was hard!?!) and the hollandaise was too lemony. All on an English muffin that was never crispy. Brewed coffee was brown lightly flavored water. Avoid.

I ordered the French toast made with the home made baguette. I received a hamburger bun cut in half. I have no problem ordering something else if a restaurant rums out of something but to serve me a hamburger bun dipped in egg was just ridiculous. Service was also terrible, my girlfriend had to get up and ask for another mimosa after our server took the order and brought drinks to the table next to us and never looked over. We were both servers and were trying to not be rude but there was 0 service being provided.

One of my favorite restaurants to eat breakfast, lunch or brunch in the Roaring Fork Valley! They have a large dynamic menu, I highly recommended checking out their sides menu, a lot of little gems to compliment your main dish or to share with your party.

I have Known the Chef and owner for over a year now for other business. I finally got the opportunity to visit Basalt. We celebrated my son’s 19th birthday/easter brunch today. Fantastic town, location and restaurant was perfect. We ordered a blush champagne and all of us took advantage of the menu items. Perfect strawberry crepes, Italian and German omelets to die for. Lamb Gyro, pesto chicken sandwich rounded out our meal. Everything was made to order and fresh delicacy. Take the opportunity just 30 min from Glennwood springs in the town of Basalt!! Thank you Alejandro!!!
