I started my car search on September 25, 2025, and worked with Matt Branam, who was amazing right from the start. He was attentive, patient, and consistently professional as I explored my options. There was quite a bit of back and forth since I was torn between the 2026 Sportage Hybrid SX Prestige and the 2025 Niro SX Touring, and I also wanted to trade in a new 2025 Sportage I owned with some positive equity.
After plenty of research and discussions, I ultimately decided on the Niro. Matt stayed supportive throughout the process and made sure I had all the information I needed to make an informed decision. There were some mild frustrations on my end, but he was always there assisting me. His proactive communication, transparency, and friendly attitude made the experience far less stressful—even when I had a million questions (I have the text exchanges to prove it!).
I won’t lie, there were a few unexpected road bumps that almost led me to consider another dealership (through no fault of Matt’s). However, Sarah from the financing office reached out directly, and I’m so glad she did. She took the time to explain why the process took longer than anticipated, secured the price I wanted, and even negotiated a lower interest rate with Capital One—which made a big difference! WHAT?! 🥳
Overall, I’m extremely happy with how everything turned out. Between Matt’s professionalism and personable nature, and Sarah’s extra effort to make things right, I felt valued and taken care of every step of the way. As someone who deals with anxiety, Matt’s calm, non-pressuring approach really helped me feel comfortable and confident in the process. He even offered to drive two hours out of town to get the car I wanted—without me even asking! Who does that!? I was thrilled, and sure enough, he got the car for me and earned my business today on October 8th, 2025. I will definitely be back when I want a new car! 🚗
I would absolutely recommend this dealership and to work with Matt Branam (sales) and Sarah Rowland (finance), without a doubt! 😭🥹🤍
Update: 11/14/25
Earlier in November I was told that I needed to come in and pay money back since they allegedly overpaid my payoff, even though the contract was already signed.
I told them that I had a signed contract, and I owed nothing further. They told me they couldn't submit paperwork for me until I came in with $600+ for their mistake, basically. I told them I wouldn't be able to, and eventually they resolved whatever it was.
Now, today (11/14), it’s disappointing that this situation happened at all, especially considering that Finance clearly stated they would handle everything for me so I would not need to go to the DMV. My contract included the title, registration, and plate fees—meaning the dealership was fully responsible for submitting all necessary paperwork to the Missouri Department of Revenue. Yet after purchasing the car on October 8th, it is now November 14th and my plates still have not arrived.
When I chatted with the DOR, I learned that no paperwork had ever been submitted for my vehicle. I had even called Cable Dahmer earlier to ask when I could expect my plates, and Sales told me they’d look into it but never followed up. After more calls, I finally reached Kelsey in Accounting, who was the only person to actually take ownership of the situation and get me over to Ashley in Billing to see what was going on, because NO ONE HAS COMMUNICATED WITH ME SINCE OCTOBER 8TH STATING I NEEDED TO DO ANYTHING ELSE.
I've been under the impression since October 8th that they would handle everything for me, only come to find out that's not true.
Overall, it feels like there’s a serious lack of internal communication between Finance, Sales, Billing, and Accounting at Cable Dahmer. These departments should be aligned—especially when handling something as essential as a customer’s title and registration. The disconnect not only caused unnecessary stress and delays but also undermines confidence in the dealership’s process.
I can no longer in good conscience recommend this dealership.
