Build The Burgh

Hunter recently completed a deck and roof project at our home. New decking was installed to enlarge our existing porch, a permanent roof was built to cover the new space and new access with a mid stair landing was added. Building the roof was quite challenging but it integrated perfectly with our existing structure. During the build we had four days of rain. Hunter however arrived every day on time and advanced the project. He has a phenomenal work ethic and is very accomplished in his work, His crew is also to be commended for their hard work. Hunter kept us informed daily of progress and quickly resolved any concerns. We appreciated his professionalism and are very pleased with the transformation. We highly recommend him for any deck/roof/stairs project you may be considering for your home.

Hunter removed our old deck and added a new larger deck with a roof. He was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process, including the design, estimate, permitting, build, inspection, and final walk-through. He communicated with us throughout the process and always stayed on schedule. Hunter would arrive like clockwork every day and made use of every minute of his time. He would review the progress with us each night to see if we had any questions and to set expectations for the coming days. When the job was done, he did not disappear. We had changed our mind and wanted to add lights on the stairs and he followed up with us in a timely manner and had them installed in no time. Hunter is a master at his craft and takes pride in his work. Our new deck is our sanctuary and has extended our living space. We could not be happier with the results and highly recommend Hunter for your new deck or roof project.

Hunter was the sub-contractor on a large deck project and it was a wonderful experience to work with him. He basically tore out an old deck, built a composite deck with railing, built a beautiful outdoor living room with roof, and framed the fireplace and outdoor kitchen. Additionally, he coordinated the electrical and plumbing needed for those areas. We were sad to see him go when his portion of the project was completed. He is an incredible craftsman with a work ethic that is unrivaled. He was communicative, worked tirelessly through all kinds of weather, encouraged our participation by engaging us throughout the process - allowing us to make decisions while questions arose, and never, EVER, missed a day, regardless of the weather. We truly felt like a team, and not many contractors make you feel like that. My neighbors have even commented on his dedication and craftsmanship! We are thrilled with his portion of our beautiful new outdoor space and can highly recommend him.

Hunter built a roof for my existing deck. The workmanship was remarkable. Several things stood out for me: - the entire project start to finish took two weeks, considering this was early March in Pittsburgh and we had snow, rain, hail for half of that time and sun and warmth for another half. - the design of the proposed roof was better than any other 6 bidders, and considered all nuances and style of my house and deck, whereas other bidders mostly pushed vanilla designs. - the execution and attention to detail were amazing. High quality materials, careful application of those materials, no gaps of any kind. It looks absolutely amazing. - the cost was not the lowest across all other bids, but it was a fixed cost and Jesse made all necessary adjustments on the fly with no changes to price. I feel the quality of the work was totally worth it. I often do handy work around my house myself and I am hard to impress. This is the first time the contractor impressed me so much.
