EXPUNGEMENT. We receive calls about expungement all the time. Expungement = legal process for restricting an arrest or conviction from your record. Previously, only cases that did not result in a conviction and certain offenses committed by people under the age of 21 were eligible for expungement. However, last year Gov. Kemp signed Senate Bill 288 into law, which greatly expands the pool of eligible expungement candidates. This law is in effect as of January 1.
