🦝 Mission Accomplished: Hamilton Home Secured!
We spent this gloomy day out in Hamilton today, turning a "raccoon hotel" back into a private residence. The critters were clever, but our prevention team was quicker!
The Strategy: Full Prevention & Safe Exit
We didn't just patch a hole; we overhauled the entire roofline to ensure this home stays wildlife-free for the long haul.
The Checklist:
• The One-Way Door: Installed at the main entry point, allowing the raccoon to head out for dinner and realize—oops!—the door doesn't open from the outside.
• Roof Vents: Swapped out vulnerable plastic for heavy-duty, bite-proof steel screens.
• Soffit Returns: Reinforced those hidden gaps where the roof meets the eaves.
• Plumbing Mats & Hood Vents: Sealed and shielded every remaining "soft spot" to prevent a future break-in.
Why Full Prevention Matters
Raccoons are persistent. If you only fix one spot, they’ll just move three feet over to the next vent. By securing the plumbing mats, soffits, and hood vents all at once, we save the homeowner from a "round two" surprise next season.
Hamilton Homeowners: If you’re hearing heavy footsteps in your attic, it’s time to act before the babies arrive!
