The "Family First" Extraction Method 🦝đźŹ
Ever wonder how we get a mother raccoon to leave a cozy attic or deck? It’s all about using her natural instincts to our advantage.
When there are babies (kits) involved, we don't just "shoo" the mother away. We use a Reunion Box strategy:
• The Set-Up: We carefully remove the kits from the nesting area and place them into a weather-protected, insulated reunion box right outside the main entry point.
• The "Bait": The sound and scent of her babies act as a natural lure. When the mother hears them, her maternal instinct takes over—she’ll do anything to get to them.
• The One-Way Door: Since we've sealed the secondary gaps, she has to use the one-way door to reach them. Once she pushes through that door to get to her kits, the device locks behind her, preventing her from getting back inside the structure.
• The Result: Mom finds her babies safe in the box, realizes she can't get back into the attic, and begins the process of moving her family to one of her alternative "back-up" den sites.
It’s the most effective, stress-free way to clear a property while keeping the family together. We treat every home like it’s our own, ensuring the job is done right the first time.
