• Among its requirements, the LCRR requires all public water systems to submit an initial Service Line Inventory on October 16, 2024
• "Service Line" is your pipes that carry water to and through your home
• Older homes were sometimes built with galvanized metal pipes
• The zinc coating on galvanized pipes contains lead that can corrode and leach into drinking water
