From the very first call through our wedding day, they communicated quickly and answered every question we had. River went above and beyond to make our wedding day spectacular! If I could give more than five stars for Briarwood Farms, I would! River, Korina, and everyone there made my wedding experience beyond amazing. I was an out of state bride from St. Louis, Missouri. I was planning my wedding from Missouri, and River was so accommodating. She took me on video tours of the venue, answered any crazy questions I had, and grew to feel like a friend through the process. (She even gave recommendations on places to eat, and things to do in Alaska!) Her vendor recommendations were exactly what I needed, and they ended up being amazing! I truly had the best wedding day ever, and I cannot thank Briarwood enough for helping to make that happen!

We had the absolute dream wedding at Briarwood Farm! The views were nothing short of breathtaking—rolling hills, open skies, and perfectly manicured grounds that made every moment feel like a scene from a movie. The landscaping was immaculate, and every corner of the property felt like it was designed with photos in mind. What truly set this venue apart, though, were the incredible owners, River and Forrest. They went above and beyond to make our day unforgettable. Not only were they warm, helpful, and professional, but they also offered a side-by-side ATV adventure to help us access the most stunning photo locations on the property. Thanks to them, we now have some of the most epic and unique wedding photos we could have ever imagined. My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of getting married at Briarwood Farm this past July, and it was truly our dream wedding venue. Surrounded by stunning mountains, a charming creek perfect for photos, and the most spectacular weather we could have hoped for, our day felt like something out of a storybook. I love teaching yoga classes here! It is absolutely beautiful with mountain views all around. She also has great accommodations with the option of being on the grass, or under the pavilion with heat lamps and side covers for cooler days.

We had our wedding at Briarwood in August of 2024 and it was the perfect place for us. River was super accommodating while not being overbearing. She is super sweet and has a TON of knowledge that made things run smoothly for us. She did a virtual tour for us and then an in-person tour later on. A lot of our guests were family from the lower 48 and they raved about the beauty of the venue the whole time they were in town. We highly recommend Briarwood for anyone! The Barhaugs <3

As a wedding planner, I recently had the pleasure of working at Briarwood Farm for one of my couples’ weddings, and it was such a wonderful experience. From a planner’s perspective, the venue was great to work with. The layout allowed for a seamless flow between ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. River, who owns Briarwood Farm was incredibly accommodating, responsive, and truly invested in making the day run smoothly. My now husband and I got married at briarwood farm in June and we are still in awe of how beautiful our day was. It ended up being such a perfect sunny day! River was amazing and so helpful. So much effort and hard work was put into this beautiful place. She has so many pretty flowers planted all around the venue which adds such a beautiful touch. I am still getting compliments on how beautiful the venue was and how well everything turned out. Could not recommend enough if you are looking for an outdoor venue that perfectly displays Alaskas beauty!

What an amazing day!!! The weather was drizzly and cloudy all day, but this only enhanced our experience!! We were able to fit 80 people around eight tables and had the bride and groom walk down the aisle in the center with the mountain arch as the destination. It was amazingly beautiful with the fog floating around the mountains, the fall colors awash in the rain, and green grass surrounding the pavilion. Hay bales were a wonderful backdrop for photos in the field nearby. The pictures are going to be unique with the umbrellas provided by River. The two outdoor heating units kept the wedding party warm and the firepit the guests, many of whom lingered to the very end enjoying the beautiful venue. It was a fun-filled, stress-free, gorgeous event. Thank you so much, River!!! You are an amazing host appearing when needed and disappearing when all is going well. I don't know how you do it!!! Thank you, thank you. We will be recommending your venue to others.

We had the most wonderful time with River and her family at Briarwood. I had my heart set on bringing along our horses for our family photos. River was more than willing to help us make this magic come true. The views are STUNNING & I can’t recommend this spot more. We look forward to planning our wedding in the future there!
