I’m incredibly grateful for the care and compassion we received from Bravo Family Mortuary during one of the hardest times in our lives. Kim was especially wonderful. She guided my sister and me through every step of the process with patience, kindness, and professionalism. Losing our mom was overwhelming, but Kim took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure we felt supported the entire way. She didn’t just handle the arrangements—she also offered genuine emotional support and understanding when we needed it most. Thank you for helping us honor our mom with dignity and for treating our family with such compassion. We truly appreciate everything you did for us.

The Bravo Family Mortuary is a Class Act. My experience there was incredible. They took the fear and anxiety away from having to blindly navigate the process of American post mortem traditions and were a light on its dark path. Their iteration of a modern mortuary feels like an extension of home. Comfortable / Clean / Inviting. They have designed the space and furnishings in a way that isn't oppressive, antiquated or cliché. Its a beautiful place that feels safe and fosters community and helped us elevate our occasion to the true meaning of Celebration Of Life From the onset of my need for answers and guidance, co-owner Steve Olsher made me feel confident in my choice to remit care of my father to them. All of their staff that worked on our services were helpful and always a step ahead. They allowed for communication to be easy and made the entire process smooth, seamless and somehow less scary. I had the fortune of having Penny as our funeral director. I feel lucky and blessed to have worked with her and the team (Kara & Zoe). Its like the 'something thats gteater and unseen' guided me in their direction. Everything in its right place. The level of empathy & compassion we were served exceeded my expectations exponentially. At a time of deep grief when life feels fragile and brief, and I'm floating in a most peculiar way, and the stars look very different today... Having just buried my father yesterday, I truly hope you don’t need to call a funeral home or mortuary any time soon, but when that day comes I hope my review inspires you to look further into taking your business and your loved one to Bravo. Steve, Penny, Kara, Jennifer and all the folks at BFM: from the very bottom of that place where our veins meet, my family thanks you.

We used Bravo Family Mortuary in Feb 2025 when my husband's mother passed away. We were somewhat caught off guard with the whirlwind of what was happening, and I happened to see an advertisement for Bravo. I called, and everyone was super caring, sympathetic, friendly, and helpful. They were able to assist with transport of the deceased, coordination of the necessary services, death certificate, social security notification, and permit for the ashes. We found the process to be easy and fairly quick, which is all we could ask for during such a difficult time. We highly recommend them, and we wouldn't hesitate to use their services again.

Steve, Thank you and your staff for the professionalism demonstrated during the funeral service for my brother in law. We greatly appreciate your assistance throughout our most stressful days. Everything was beautifully organized and the inside of the mortuary was set-up perfect. From the entrance, to the service area, family break-room, everything was so beautiful. Steve and Kara were great to work with. Very caring and helpful. On behalf of our family, we thank you again for everything. It was a good experience during one of the hardest times.

When deciding upon a mortuary for burial preparation of your loved one, look no further than Bravo Family Mortuary. There is an element about Bravo that provides a living illustration of heaven's compassion, kindness, and care. Bravo has the understanding of military families and the particular depth of grief that can accompany handling the sorrow ... and the joy of Christ's promises for eternal life after death. It can be said, "Bravo! Anchors Away, God's Blessings, Fair Winds, and Following Seas."

Kara and Blanca helped us plan my father’s chapel service at Bravo and a military service and burial at Fort Rosecrans afterwards. We were planning all of this from out of state but they were very responsive and reassuring. Blanca agreed to help us with queued music and had less than 24 hours to get acquainted with the service program, and she did so perfectly. Thank you, Bravo!

I live in SC and my cousin who was just 34 yrs old passed away in San Diego. I had been his contact and when the medical examiner called me with the awful news, I knew I had to figure out how to get the process started to get him home to SC. Not knowing what to do, I reached out to Bravo Family Mortuary, after listening to my story, they guided me and gave me comfort on the arrangements. My family and I, appreciated so much the care and the patience that they took with JG. He was a special person and was treated with the respect that he deserved. I sent an urn that I bought for him to be placed in. They took care of making sure that he was carefully prepared to start home. This has been an emotional journey, and I shared with the family how you all took the time to help me with the whole process. After the cremation, they set up the arrangements to ship JG home to us. Cannot say enough that they treated me with such kindness, and really didn't even know me, but by the end I felt very cared for. Thank you Lena and Steve!!

Losing my husband was the hardest experience of my life, and I’m so grateful to Bravo Family Mortuary for the incredible care and support they provided during this time. We had to transfer my husband’s remains to San Diego, and from the moment I reached out, Penny and Steve were there to guide us every step of the way. They made sure everything was taken care of, even down to the smallest details, like ensuring the food was ready and perfect. The chapel and facilities were spotless and created such a comforting space for us. They didn’t stop there—they assisted us at the cemetery and made sure everything was in order, showing such attention to detail and respect throughout the process. Penny and Steve treated us with so much kindness and compassion that it felt like they truly cared about us as a family. I can’t thank them enough for how much easier they made this heartbreaking time. I highly recommend Bravo Family Mortuary to anyone—they will take care of you and your loved ones with the utmost care and respect.
