When we moved to Montana in 1997, the house we purchased had a cottonwood tree, barely as tall as the house. It seemed innocent enough and it would provide morning shade. But this tree grew and grew and grew until it was almost 80 feet tall and measured 21 feet around the trunk. It also started showing signs of sickness and the bark started to fall off. Two years ago I started calling around for quotes to have it removed and gasped at the cost it would take to remove it. Two different companies agreed to remove it for a reasonable cost, but each of them just cut down a couple of lower limbs and didn't come back. Finally I found a great company called Bowen's Professional Tree Services. We set a date, they came and took down the tree and were amazing at their job. I am so glad it is finished!
