BORDERS TAXI - TAXI GALASHIELS

I've used this company twice when visiting the Border Abbeys and would highly recommend them. My driver was waiting for me at the train station and was early when picking me up at the various abbeys I visited. This made my visits stress free (in other cases taxis didn't come or were waiting at a further location from where I was supposed to be picked up). Reliable service makes all the difference.

My friend and I were stranded yesterday after a car accident and when I phoned Borders Taxi the gentleman on the phone could not have been kinder, he understood our predicament and sorted out a taxi for us very quickly. Our driver was polite and carried all our luggage into the car and we were so relieved to be driven to our air bnb. It is a 5 star service and we thoroughly recommend Borders Taxi. Booked trip from Galashiels to Newcastle airport. Im always worried about getting to the airport on time but it was great journey, no problem and arrived with time to spare. Driver ( sorry didn't catch your name!) Was on time and very pleasant and chatty, made the time pass quickly. Thank you

Pre-paid airport pickup that Borders Taxis completely failed to provide the service we paid for and did not pick up my disabled Step-Mum, leaving her stranded at Edinburgh. Flight was delayed — something that happens every day with air travel — but instead of checking the live arrivals board or adapting to the updated landing time, the driver apparently left before the flight even arrived. We were then told they only wait 30 minutes after the original scheduled arrival time, regardless of delays, and the responsibility was pushed onto us. A family member was left stranded at the airport, and to make matters worse, the company expected us to pay again for another pickup despite already pre-paying. An airport transfer service should understand that flight times change and monitor arrivals accordingly. Instead, this company made a routine delay our problem and provided no flexibility or customer care. Very disappointing experience and not a reliable option for airport transfers. Driver requested another payment of £110 for pick up. No apology or refund given. Passenger was left and not collected. Alternative transport was sought. Not reliable, please avoid.

What can I say! I was truly a lady in distress when, on the way to Edinburgh Airport, my car broke down at Jedburgh. A quick call to Borders Taxi and the lovely driver was with me in twenty minutes (leaving my poor husband to wrestle with the not so helpful AA!). I can't recommend the service highly enough - the driver kept me up to date with his location when getting to me and was considerate and courteous throughout the whole trip!

Late, lied about info they recieved that we gave them both verbally and in writing, not polite- no hello, no goodbye, kept slamming payment machine on my phone, caused me to miss my train because they could not take direction well, went long route because they were not prepared with the destination that we gave them. Only gave an extra star because the driver was good at driving- will give him that, but I really hope we won't require them again in the future. Sorry, not for us. The driver was clearly grumpy because he refused to take accountability for reading the info wrong

Very professional service I’ve used border taxi company for 5 months now for trips between work and making it to the train station to visit home . I like where I can keep in contact with the driver and feel assured taxi is there on time . Prices very good to and I also make pre bookings via WhatsApp . Staff very professional and polite and comfortable to chat with .
