BEWARE!! We had a terrible experience with this company. Our oven had been shutting itself down and sending an error code. Our preliminary research suggested that we try turning the power off at the breaker for 5 minutes before turning it back on. This worked a couple of times and then we were without an oven. During a text exchange with a technician from this company, he said that this error code required something needed “to be wiggled.” I asked if he could set us up with an appointment and he said he would be here at 9ish. My wife was home waiting for him and he eventually arrived at 3ish! He diagnosed the problem to be the heating element and quoted us a price to complete the repair. I texted him to make sure he was licensed and was shocked to see his response: “yes, but to use my license insurance will be an extra $1,000.” I told him that this was a deal breaker and I would find someone else. The company we found identified the issue was not the element but, instead, the fan. I texted the guy from Boise 208 Appliance Repair to let him know that he misdiagnosed the issue. He still asked for his diagnostic fee of $75. I sent him the check but let him know he should be ashamed if he accepts it. It has since been cashed! I don’t enjoy writing negative reviews but, in this case, I felt the extreme lack of integrity and accountability warranted it. Update: what was not mentioned in this review was, when I texted him that the oven was repaired by the other company and the issue was the fan, the tech’s reply was, “I 100% guarantee the lower element has failed.” The oven, including the lower element, has been working fine ever since. The real reason for the update is this; the check to pay for the diagnostic fee was cashed even though the diagnosis was wrong.
