I took my niece out - it was her first fishing experience. Jim was a great teacher; patient and lots of fun. Enjoyed a beautiful afternoon on the water catching Stripers, Bluefish and Bonito. Top notch boat and a great guide. I would highly recommend a trip with Blue Bandit!

We booked a last minute morning fishing trip with Captain Jim. He somehow squeezed us in. We met Jim at the docks at 5:15 am. By 5:30 we were on our way. A beautiful morning, with a brilliant sunrise, Jim had poles in the water and within 15 minutes we were catching large stripers with 2 keepers. After striper fishing, Jim surprised us with a fun, lightweight tackle Bonita fishing experience. Those little fish can swim 25 mph and Jim’s expertise and patience had us chasing and hooking into fish in no time. He timed the trip perfectly, he cleaned the fish on our way in and sent us home with our stripers and Bonita. It was a perfect day on the water and we would highly recommend Captain Jim to anyone. He doesn’t stop til he finds the fish, his boat is immaculate, he’s helpful, he patient, he has a great demeanor and we can’t wait to book our next fishing trip with him.

I would highly recommend fishing with Jim. The moment you get on the boat it feels like you have been friends with him forever. He will answer any questions you have and take the time to teach you instead of just fishing for you. He will accommodate your group and put you on this fish, make sure you book a trip with him next time you are on the Cape.

Holy smokes!! Captain Jim is among the best of them. We did an early season striper trip with Blue Bandit after a few days of DIY fishing on foot around the cape. Desperately in need of finding success after days of getting skunked, Captain Jim came through as the hero of the weekend. The pictures speak for themselves! Captain Jim put us on well over 20 fish in just a short morning trip despite windy conditions and picky fish. All of the stripers were 28-33”, with one absolute tank clocking in at 43” Beyond putting us on piles of huge fish, Captain Jim is truly a great guy. Super smart, funny, and good-natured, you’re in good hands from the moment you step onto his boat until you’re back on the dock. 10/10, highly recommend Blue Bandit for all your fishing needs on Cape Cod.

I have been fishing the cape in summer for over 30 years and Captain Jim is simply the best. Lot of great boats and captains out there but proof is in the pudding. This year, 2 half trips and we boated and released over 70 stripped bass, all respectful sizes including some monster's. Cant make this up!! Captain Jim is all business, will get you on all the fish and have fun, great with kids too, We always fish Bass with him but next year we are adding a Tuna trip bc he loves to fish Tuna so need to take advantage of this.

Awesome day fishing with Captian Jim Ilkovich @bluebanditfishing here in Cape Cod! He put us on the fish right away with nonstop action, quickly hitting our limit of black sea bass and stripers! We won the day with the boat's biggest striper of the season to date! Cooler full of fillets coming home later this week! Super clean boat, top-of-the-line gear, and he was great at communication from booking through the entire charter. As a lifelong local, Jim even helped us out with restaurant recommendations and other things to do while in town. Hope we can come back later this year for some Bluefin action!

What a great day on the water with Jim from Blue Bandit Fishing Charters! Jim put us on the fish all day and boated as many stripers as we could keep reeling in! He also accommodated the ladies we had on board and brought them to see some whales. Jim brings experience, enthusiasm, and a great sense of humor into his trips. It is also reassuring to be on the water with a Marine Engineer!

Jim was a great time. Very knowledgeable and nice to talk to. Knew exactly where to go for newbies like us and we caught a ton of bass, including dinner for that night! Thanks Jim!

We had a great fishing experience with Jimmy. The Gail force winds on Saturday into Sunday Shut down all fishing. We went out Monday morning, cutting through the wind and choppy seas for Jimmy to put us right on a mess of quality Stripers. Late morning we moved over and caught some very nice Black Sea Bass. Jimmy's a class act, thank you.

Our fishing trip with captain Jim was absolutely perfect! My family of 4 all caught stripers and bluefish and had a beautiful afternoon on the ocean. We even got to see some seals on the way back. Jim fileted our fish for us and even gave us recipes (that were perfect right down to the length of time to grill them). We would highly recommend as this was the absolute favorite part of our week trip the Cape Cod!
