My furbaby Vanity had to have surgery on her ACL due to rough play with her brother. The staff at Bloomfield Pointe Veterinary was totally amazing, they treated Vanity as if she was theirs and I appreciate that so much. I picked her up on Christmas Eve and the surgery went great! The doctor was caring and very thorough, he have a great personality and made me feel relaxed because I was so nervous about the surgery, he explained the entire procedure so I had a full understanding of what she would go through after the surgery. This is where I want to bring both my fur babies from now on. Thank you so much!

Our family cat was diagnosed with hepatic lipidosis. We were given medications and were able to treat her from home. He was very knowledgeable about her diagnosis and explained it to us. Despite treatment, she continued to decline. We called the after hours number and within 15 minutes Dr Ballou met us at the office at 930pm. We ended up having to make a heartbreaking decision to let her go in peace.💔 She was lethargic and suffering. As an ER RN, I know what it is like to have compassion and empathy towards strangers. To be treated as if you are family is such a rarity. Our experience with Dr Ballou was nothing short of this. To combine professionalism and wisdom with compassion and caring is just something that is not common anymore- anywhere. Dr Ballou truly cares for his furry patients. Between the professional medical world of animal doctors and human doctors that I have met over decades- he is truly a gem and stands out as one of the best I’ve ever encountered. Furthermore, my dad is on a fixed income living off of social security and Dr Ballou took this into consideration and was able to make things affordable for my dad. We will forever be grateful for the loving care and kindness shown to us during such a difficult time for our family.

I absolutely love Dr. B (Dr. Ballou)!!! He has been such a wonderful Dr to my chihuahua Chuey!!! He has such a genuine, caring heart for animals and he is very attentive and kind. A couple years ago we met him when Chuey tore his ACL and not only that, he had to have reconstruction of his knee cap as well. He did such an amazing job that if it wasn't for the little scar on his leg, you would never know he was ever injured. His leg is strong and he runs and jumps like normal!!! He helped us again when Chuey was attacked by a 100 lb pit bull last year. They got us right in and examined him and took good care of him. Today, we took him in for a spine injury, and again, Dr. B and his staff came through for us!!!! We absolutely LOVE Dr. B and his staff. They go above and beyond to help in any way they can!! Their prices are very good as well. I definitely recommend going here!!! 5 stars for sure!!! Thx Dr B!!!!

The vet I go to shut down last month and I was in search for a decently reviewed, respected place that isn’t a money grabbing corporate chain. I didn’t want to leave a bad review but I just felt so blindsided after I finished this appointment. Brought my cat in for general wellness/teeth checkup. The main doctor didn’t even see me because they were performing surgery, and I fully respect that and I do not place any blame or anger towards the doctor. I appreciate you saving lives and this review is not aimed at you. The nurse/assistant (or however the professional term is in the vet world) that ended up taking the appointment gave the energy and attitude of wanting to get the consultation over with. My cat gets somewhat aggressive at vets due to a previous experience/surgery, but the nurse was able to hold him by the neck and get a decent look at his teeth. She took blurry photos, had the doctor take a quick look and diagnosed gingivitis off the bat. I felt like these photos weren’t thorough and I regret not being more vocal about it in the moment. Towards the end and when I was still asking questions, she (literally) had one foot out the door ready to walk away! Barely any follow up questions about my cat’s general health and behavior. I’m just expecting professionalism. I know medicine/hospital work isn’t a jolly job and I respect the work vets do. I had the appointment scheduled ahead of time but if came in at a bad time/day, i would much rather you inform me and give me the option of coming back another day. I appreciate the doctor fee being waived since the doctor didnt see me, but i should have been charged only for the gabapentin, not whatever the additional “tech fee” was. I took my cat to a different vet as I didn’t feel right about my experience with this place, and my cat was still pretty nervous so they charged me $0 for not being able to do a full exam, even though I probably took up nearly an hour of their time with questions and them attempting to make him feel calmer with treats.

I took my sweet puppy here after she had gotten extremely sick around Thanksgiving. Throwing up, not eating, lethargic, you name it. She unfortunately she got into something far too toxic for her little body to handle. It was a freak accident that happened at home and a sequence of perfectly horrible events. I am still giving this place a good review because I am confident everything possible was done to save my sweet angel pup. Dr B was very thorough, listened to my concerns, and is extremely talented in what he does. The knowledge and level of detail is unmatched to any other vet I have been to and I will take my other animals here in the future because I know he gave my girl his all.

If I could give 0 stars I would dr b did a terrible job on my cane corsos ear cropping and I have asked for only the amount of the cropping be refunded and he keeps gas lighting me and calling me obtuse which is extremely unprofessional and condescending. I have asked for lawyer information and he is so arrogant and wrong he sent me an insurance company which is not a legal team of lawyers where I can provide them with my small claims court information, they are very unprofessional and unorganized I wouldn't ever bring a dog Let alone any animal to this vet I will display photos below; I asked for show crop and got rectangular ears which is wild 900 from surgery and vaccines and I'm only asking for $504 back saying my consent doesn't warrant refund but anyone who knows with eyes can see I did not get what I was told I'd be paying for! This is wrong and just right out evil!

This was our first appointment with a very "spicy" cat who had been feral and traumatized by another vet. The entire staff was absolutely AMAZING!! They listened to all of our concerns, and treated our baby with such compassion and kindness. The tech was Emily and she was stellar ! The vet was absolutely wonderful and very knowledgeable !

Love this place. Always had a hard time finding a vet that actually seemed like they really cared about the well being of my dog and not just the money they'd get from him being sick. Staff is knowledge and personable. Always seems to know exactly what my dog needs without an extraordinary amount of testing or rigamarole. Had it in the past that a vet (not here) told me they wouldnt even tell me what was wrong unless i paid them, this place always gives you as much information as they possibly can so you fully understand what's going on and make an educated decision about what the next steps might be. I love that he brings his dog into work with him like their mascot, always sets my dog at ease. Just beware, he likes to try to steal shoes and is not afraid to yeet himself on your lap for snuggles 😂

Highly suggest Shannon for any and all grooming needs!! Super professional, friendly and the interior of the office was so cute. My dog wasn't scared out of his mind like he usually is after leaving a petco or other local groomers. Very affordable and MUCH faster than petco. Usually they take 4+ hrs and Shannon got us in early and was done within 2hrs. Shannon asked and took note of what I wanted/needed cut wise and he loves his little bandana he left with😊 we are excited to come back for our next appointment!

Even under new ownership the quality of service remains excellent. The doctors and staff are always polite, professional, and helpful. In emergencies, if the doctor isn’t immediately available he makes every effort to assist our pets and guide us toward the best options for their care. Bloomfield Pointe has supported us through many difficult moments with our dogs and have never once let us down. 10/10 highly recommend!!
