🚧 Our Deepest Sewer Repair Yet! 🚧⠀
This week the Blocked Busters crew took on our biggest and deepest job so far — and it was a monster 💪⠀

We were first called out on Monday for an urgent blocked drain in Buderim, but after clearing most of the blockage with our high-pressure jetter, the nozzle and hose got stuck inside the drain. A quick drain camera inspection revealed why — the line had tree root intrusion, multiple cracks, a sheared-off section, and major breaks caused by ground movement. With the equipment jammed in one of the breaks, we had no choice but to leave the jetter hose on site until the repair could be carried out.⠀

We went back Wednesday for the full repair, digging down an incredible 2.6 metres deep to reach the sewer main. Access was tight, being right in the backyard, so we had to get creative — using a micro digger (which only digs to 1.7 m) and dropping the excavator to a lower level just to reach the full depth. Once we exposed the damaged section, we were finally able to retrieve our jetter nozzle and start rebuilding the line properly.⠀

With limited room for spoil, the job had to be done in two stages. We replaced both damaged sections, bedded the new pipe in 5 mm screenings, installed a new inspection opening, then carefully backfilled, compacted, and reinstated the area.⠀

This was by far the toughest and deepest excavation we’ve ever done.
