This week’s 4,000-gallon septic pump-out in Snohomish County required the Crust Buster to get the job done. Along the way, we found what looked like pink debris — which turned out to be Q-tips.
We know we repeat this often, but it’s worth saying again: Q-tips and other “flushable” items do not break down in septic systems. The more homeowners are aware, the healthier their systems will be in the long run.
