Just a couple of updates to be aware of.
We are starting another small project in Edmonds to repair some work performed by another septic service provider; which brings a couple of good points that we will try to address in a blog post on our website in the coming days as time allows. It might take more than one.
Another job on the books is an inspection of a septic system that was installed in the 1950's. The same service provider as in the other project listed tried to convince the homeowner that she needs her drain field pipes cleaned but would only know after paying over $400 for an inspection. There are several issue with that whole thing. "Cleaning" drain pipes? From the 1950's? Seriously??

Long story short, this is not the 1st time we have been called out to fix their work or help people who feel they were being bullied by these guys. High pressure sales tactics (bullying), deceptive reporting, and just really bad workmanship is not uncommon in our industry. Some companies generate work by "breaking" a system so they can tell the home owner that they need expensive repair work done.
Our advice...be careful. If a service provider does a repair to your system, MAKE them prove that the work is actually needed. MAKE them show you the work that they did. And MAKE them prove that it was done correctly by testing it.
You need to protect yourself from shady contractors, because no one else can.
