I brought my Lexus here for service, and about five months later my engine seized, leaving me with an engine repair bill of over $7,000.
What concerns me most is the advice I was given during an oil change. The woman at the front desk told me it was “okay to skip the oil filter change once” because their mechanic could not remove it. That advice was completely irresponsible and shows a lack of basic automotive knowledge. An oil filter is a critical component, not an optional one.
I also question the quality of oil and service standards used here. Skipping an oil filter can lead to contaminated oil circulating through the engine, oil starvation, and catastrophic engine damage—which is exactly what happened to my car.
If the owner or anyone else doubts this, I have photos showing the damage caused when an oil filter is not replaced. This outcome was avoidable, and I trusted their guidance to my detriment.
I strongly recommend not trusting front-desk advice here and thinking twice before allowing this shop to service your vehicle.
