Black Dog Vineyard & Winery Tasting Room

What an incredible evening at Black Dog Vineyard! It was mine and my pups first time at the vineyard and we were welcomed with big smiles and doggy treats. This is the perfect low key hang out for dog lovers and pet parents nestled in the beautiful Willamette Valley. It’s lovely enough to dress up, or perfect for someone like me who decided to pop over after a day of romping around the farm with a bit of mud on my pants after a long day. My dog was so comfortable with places to roam, shade to sit in for naps and cozy spots all over for me too. I can’t forget to mention, my Pinot Rose was so refreshing and one of the best I’ve had. Absolutely will be back 🐾❤️

We had the most wonderful time starting our day with Steve at Black Dog Winery. Excellent tasting with a wide selection of wines. Through our conversation with him, he helped steer us towards two more wineries later that day to complement the already fantastic wines and experience we started our day with. Our pup was also welcome inside and outside and we were able to walk through the vineyard as well Will go back the next time we are in town!

Steve was awesome and sweet. Explained to us our different options, was a great camera man for our group photos, told us about this great pizza pin ball place we went to for lunch and honestly made a day of wine tasting so fun. Also, the 2022 reserve was amazing. Didn’t know they have a location along the coast, in Portland and Bend A fun spot, great location and good wine! Also there is EV charge, picnic tables for lunch, and a bocce ball court

Fantastic place! Steve and Mark were so kind. My sister and I had never done a wine tasting before, and I feel so much more informed. It was the perfect place to stop on our road trip from Missouri, and the perfect place to meet up with our family who flew in. Thank you!

We really enjoyed the wines at Black Dog. The White Pinot Noir was exceptional, a true standout out. Steve was very knowledgeable and we learned some new wine terms and what they mean in the wine making industry. My favorite was hang time. Off the beaten path, but well worth the trek! Don't sleep on this vineyard. While I loved BDV's OR pinots, the petit verdot blew me away! I had to take a bottle back with me, along with a bottle of their white pinot noir. Ex-professor Steve kept the wines flowing and answered all my pressing wine questions in such a way that others haven't been able to do in the past. It was a perfectly peaceful afternoon with views of the vineyard relaxing in those Adirondack chairs, catching up with good friends. This girl couldn't ask for much more...can't wait to return!

Great morning tasting at Black Dog. We were early (more than 1/2 hour early for noon tasting but Joel opened up for us and gave a delightful and knowledgable tasting. We hade some wonderful wines and the tasting room is beautiful and a surprise on a windy gravel road.

Need to charge NACS in McMinnville, then come to where you are welcomed. We had an amazing experience and made some wonderful memories. Steve made a wonderful host!!
