Birmingham Fencing Club has truly been a gift! Our son loves the experience thanks to highly qualified instructors who make the learning experience fun! He can’t wait to go to his lessons and your child will love it too!

Wow! The class was such a fun, educational experience. My 11yr old son was thrilled to learn from a facility founded by Olympic fencing experts! The instructor provided and executed a great trial lesson for those interested in the historic sport of fencing. We can’t wait to come back for regular lessons!

I tried a free fencing class at Birmingham Fencing Club and I’m so glad I did. As a trainer myself, I watch how instructors engage with students, and Will was exceptional. He communicated with empathy and respect, whether speaking to a 50-year-old or a nine-year-old, and made everyone feel like a superhero. He packed a lot of information, etiquette, and hands-on fencing in only an hour. It was fun and energizing! Highly recommend!

I took an introductory class with a couple of other folks. Our instructor first gave us the surprising story of how Birmingham Fencing was founded, its connection to the Olympics, and the world class fencers that have left a legacy here. Next, he introduced us to the various blades used and the protective gear worn. Then, we suited up, practiced the footwork, received our blades and got down to actual fencing! It was an awesome way to spend an hour. I highly recommend this!

This is such an awesome experience! Will is an amazing instructor! He has so much patience with everyone and was very thorough in the lesson. My little one is 8 and he absolutely loved it! He was surrounded by older adults in this intro session and Will made sure he was held to the same standard and was very gentle in his approach. The adults in the intro session seemed to love it as well. We are definitely putting this activity on the agenda! If you are on the fence about trying this definitely give it a shot!

I had an amazing experience taking the free fencing lesson they offered. I never knew how much fun fencing was. They were so friendly and extremely helpful. I recommend trying them out at least once!

Ranked 11th top club in the country for 2019. The coaches are amazing and the members are a community. It is a wonderful club to be a part of.

I would highly recommend checking out this club. They offer free introductory sessions once a month, and they are well worth your time. I received a comprehensive lesson for free, and it was a blast!

I'm hoping my great nephew is interested. The intro class was good. En garde!

Amazing place!!!!! Will, the instructor, was fantastic with a class of 12 with ages ranging from 3 year olds to 40 year olds he had great knowledge and patience with everyone even with it only being a 1 hr class. Will definitely be coming back.
