Birch Gurney

We looked on Google and found Birch Gurney and went there to check it out. We were pleasantly greeted by Linda and Stephen who were kind enough to allow us to make a video recording of the place and take some pictures. They have a wide variety of plants available for sale and their commitment is clearly seen in the way they have been maintaining their nursery. We highly recommend going to Birch Gurney if you are looking to pick up some plants for your home or business reception area. Thanks Stephen and Linda, looking forward to visiting your nursery again when we are in Penang.

The lady was kind, friendly, and helpful. Knowing we wished to customise our own terrarium, she introduced us one by one different sizes of containers, suggesting which would suit us best, telling us the price of each to accommodate our budget. For the succulents, she let us pick our favourite succulents & figuri and then guided us to make the terrarium ourselves. She provided us with the tools and explained things patiently. She also taught us how to take care of the terrarium. And she even gave us a lot of young couples' personal advice. Overall, it was so much a soothing and worthy experience to spend time here. It was a very pleasant talk with her.

A new nursery on becoming the first few in Penang that would focus more into indoor gardening. The owner Mr. Lee, a plant enthusiast, is a friendly and knowledgeable person! He also does succulents, terrariums, houseplants, and even services such as repotting and plant care for less than healthy plants!!

The place has recovered so well after pandemic and the lady with glasses is super nice and helpful! They have openened a japanese snack store inside of it too!

Nice environment , friendly boss , variety of plants choice , good service and have ample of car park. Definitely beyond 5 stars nursery. I give 6 stars

While wandering through their garden, I noticed they had these absolutely adorable bird's nest ferns wrapped in twine. It was just. so. cute that I had to get it. A little gift for myself when I work at my desk.

Beautiful, healthy plants. Mr. Lee is very hands on and knowledgeable about plants. So if you are looking for plants, go to Birch Gurney.

I am beyond grateful to Lina, Daisy, and the rest of the Birch Gurney staff for their warmth and amazing service/hospitality. Being a first time plant-mom, I was pretty clueless when it came to shopping for my indoor as well as outdoor plants. Lina was very patient in imparting her knowledge on me with regards to the suitability of the plants that caught my eye, and in caring for them. She even helped me choose suitable pots for the plants I intended to purchase. It was truly a pleasant experience shopping there!! Thank you Lina and Daisy!! I'll definitely be back for more!!
