Sciatica can feel so much worse at night, especially when you’re trying to rest. When your body relaxes, the muscles stiffen, inflammation settles in, and certain sleep positions press on the irritated nerve. This can make the burning or shooting pain feel even stronger and keep you awake.
Simple changes like using better pillows, supporting your knees or hips, and stretching before bed can help calm the pain. But if your sciatica keeps waking you up or stops you from living normally, it may be time to get checked.
