I rolled into the Outlaw Inn in Rock Springs Wyoming on Thanksgiving Eve after a long day of driving. The kind of day where the road feels endless and your eyes start to blur. I checked in late and was relieved to see someone still at the desk. April greeted me with a kind of easy warmth that hits different when you are tired. She checked me in fast and made me feel like I had finally reached safe ground. She told me, “That is just how we do it in Rock Springs,” and I believed her. She helped me find a room close to where I parked so I would not have to drag my gear up any stairs. It was a small gesture but it meant everything at that hour. The room itself had a cool Western vibe. (And yes, the room did smell strongly of cigarette smoke) but somehow it pushed me back to the old days when every motel had the same smell baked into the curtains. It felt weirdly nostalgic. Maybe I was just too tired to care, but it fit the scene in its own rugged way. If you are rolling through Wyoming and need a place that feels honest and lived in, this spot does the job. The welcome alone is worth the stop.

A long day driving from Lincoln NE. 700 miles. So a nice hotel for the night. Can't go wrong with this hotel. The room was great. Super quiet. And a nice comfy bed. And a lovely hot shower this morning. Just the best!

One of the best hotels we had stayed at. Nicely decorated, beautiful eating area, realy made us comfortable. Would definitely stay again. Very good eating restaurant across the street. Good area. No worries. The pool was warm and clean.

My family is loyal to the best western brand, using them many times per year. But at this location, the rooms smell like cigarette smoke, and the breakfast leaves a lot to be desired compared to the other locations we frequent. We've been here twice now with the same experience both times.

I’ve stayed at this hotel twice now, and both times the cleanliness was absolutely disgusting. This time, there was hair all over the bathtub and even on the paper towels on the counter. We had to throw them away and clean the room ourselves before we could even settle in. The front desk receptionist, April, was extremely rude and unprofessional. She acted like she hated her job and clearly didn’t want to deal with guests. When you’re the first person customers see, being rude and dismissive is unacceptable. It makes the entire experience feel unpleasant from the start. To make matters worse, they still advertise having a saloon/bar and a restaurant on the property, but both have been closed for months. That’s false advertising, and the only reason I booked here was for the convenience of on-site dining. Between the terrible cleanliness (on multiple stays), rude staff, and false advertising, I would never recommend this hotel. There are plenty of nicer, cleaner, and more honest places to stay in Rock Springs.

We arrived and we asked to see our room and Devlin and Ashley said sure my wife is very sensitive to smells so we told them could see another room not that one bad. Revlon said sure thing we want.to make your stay a pleasant experience. The room is great comfy bed and rooms really clean nice size refrigerator. Ashley and Devlin are super nice. Recommend this hotel .They have a very nice breakfast eggs , sausage or bacon, juice , dry cereal for the kiddos, great coffee, beautiful indoor pool, right next door is a pilot gas station to gas up before you leave. There is a number of nice restaurants in the area. You will enjoy your stay there we did

This hotel goes out of their way to provide you the details. From the amenities in the room to the excellent free breakfast. The staff was super friendly and the military discount to top it off. The prices were the best I have seen and I travel all over the country. Well done!

For the price and caliber of hotel, I think they do a really good job. We had a really large king size bed room on the second floor with his and her sinks and two bathrooms in it (tub/shower combo with toilet). I've never had a hotel with two bathrooms and it seemed like excess but actually turned out to be quite nice for our little family to have the extra space. The room had a newer TV, a great desk space, a pull out couch, an accent chair, a coffee maker, a mini fridge, a closet, ironing board and iron, hair dryer, extra linens. The bed was on the firm side but decently comfortable, the pillows were nice, soft and plump. The building was probably built in the '60s but had a wonderful Wyoming outlaw cowboy vibe. They've done a good job keeping it modern enough and comfortable. Keep in mind you get what you pay for and this is a very affordable clean spacious option. It's nice that they also include breakfast. Breakfast i was your standard pre-packaged Continental breakfast with options including coffee, tea, apple juice and orange juice, three types of cereals, apples and oranges, regular milk and almond milk, yogurt cups, hard boiled eggs, hot items included egg and cheese, bacon, sausage as well as various flavors of muffins, French toast, plain bagels, English muffins, and I appreciated that they had gluten-free muffin and bagel options from udi's bakery all individually packaged. The food quality was mediocre but considering it's free we greatly appreciated it and definitely had some. Again, I really appreciated that they offered both gluten-free and non-dairy options, which I thought was highly considerate for free Continental breakfast. Our biggest complaint was just that there wasn't a whole lot of insulation or sound proofing in the walls, so our bed was up against a wall where the other unit next to us has their TV and our neighbor apparently liked to sleep with the TV on which was really distracting for us. At 1am I finally called the front desk to see if they could ask the neighbor to turn their TV down so that we could sleep. It did not sound like they had their TV up exceptionally loud, it just was right by our head like probably 2-3 ft away through the wall. Deborah at the front desk handled it with incredible tact, calling the neighbor asking them to turn it down and then reporting back to us that it was completed. They did in fact turn the TV down but we could still hear it but I decided to let it go at that point. We could even hear the phone ring and the guy answer. The hotel is generally actually pretty quiet, so it's not that it's a loud hotel; we just happen to have a neighbor who slept with the TV on and it is an older building that i assume isn't built to today's modern building codes for sound dampening. On the plus side, the showers had really hot water with strong water pressure, and the air conditioning pumped! It was really nice and cold in there for a good night's sleep. There was also an indoor pool but we did not use it so I can't comment on that. I asked if there was a gym and apparently it was being renovated so we weren't able to use it but we looked inside and they had a lot of equipment in there. I'm glad they have one for a future guests. Overall I would definitely stay here again for the price. On other note, if you join the Best Western rewards program which is free to join, I think you get a lot of pretty good perks and it saved us something like 18% off the room rate to book direct with best Western and join their free rewards program! I feel like we got a lot for our money and recommend if looking for a budget hotel.

Handicap persons beware! Bring your own water! $2 out of a vending machine that only takes $1 bills and Hotel does not have a cash drawer to change even a $5 bill. ALSO water vending machine is NOT accessible to the handicapped due to stairs. Room are cave like with no exterior windows. Windows face a common area. Indoor pool is not enclosed giving our room a chlorine fragrance and our room was one of the furthest from the pool! Air shut off early evening and came back on about 6am. We planned on staying 5days. Checked out after 1 night

Everyone here was very kind, Ashley helped us at the desk and so did Devin. Our rooms were clean and comfortable thanks to Lori. Breakfast was great just enough to get your day started. They had gluten free bagels for folks with allergies. It’s a historic property that is very unique and well kept. I appreciate the staff allowing us space to park our RVs. Gas stations and food are a quick 5 minute walk away. Wyoming was fun! We will be back!
