Panic attacks can come as a result of feeling one or many of these symptoms. When someone has
frequent anxiety attacks, it inevitably leads to ill health. This is because of the cortisol levels
remain high too often and for too long. One of cortisol’s roles is to increase blood sugars.
Unbalanced and this can result in insulin resistance. In turn, this may lead to the late onset or
type 2 diabetes. Hacket et al (2016) (2c).
In a modern fast-paced society with access to social media, many people are feeling more and
more anxious about the world around us. This can start at an early age. If young people are not
diagnosed and treated, their anxiety attacks will follow them into adulthood.
