Yesterday, when we were trying to upload 𝐓𝐚𝐱 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 this error was coming (Image-1) while uploading the Json file.



The error said:

Invalid Meta Data

One or more of the below attributes does not match in the uploaded JSON, please check and rectify:

(i) PAN of Taxpayer

(ii) Assessment Year

(iii) Filing Type

(iv) Form Code

(v) CA Membership Number

(vi) Pincode



First, we thought there was some error on AY, or file creation error.



We were unable to resolve it.

And, trust me, this was not an error of the Portal, but it was mistake from our end.



While generating a JSON file (through SAG Genius Software), there is an option to choose whether you are filing Original or Revised (Image-2), you have to choose on option. If you do not choose any option then JSON will be prepared, but you will encounter this error.



Therefore, whenever you create a JSON file, please choose the option.



I am sharing this post with you so that it can be helpful to anyone who is facing the same issue.
