EDIT: I’ve had really good experiences here before—my first two visits were great, and I even left a positive review because of how clean, detailed, and welcoming the service was. That’s why I was especially disappointed with my most recent appointment.
This time I was assigned to John, who was kind, but the service unfortunately left my nails in much worse condition than when I arrived. My nailbeds were filed down very thin, the electric filer was used for too long, and my nails were left soaking longer than usual. The shape also turned out more pointy than the round style I had before. Now my nails feel weak and sore, and even simple things like typing on my keyboard or putting my hands in my pockets cause them to bend. Regrowing them back to full thickness will take a long time, which is hard with several important events coming up.
I want to emphasize that the owner has always been very kind and welcoming, and another technician, (a lady) gave me a pretty decent manicure the first time. I do hope this feedback helps the salon make some adjustments, because I would really like to continue coming here and supporting their business.
