My dog and I had our first in home session today. Brennen is very friendly and knowledgeable! He understood the issues I've been having with my dog and gave me good advice on how to handle her better. We've also come up with a good plan to continue our training going forward. I'd encourage anyone who's thinking about dog training to set up a consultation and get started!

We needed help with our newest rescue pup who was acting out with our pet sitter and also some other minor issues. Brennen quickly assessed the situation which was fear based.... and typical with her rescue history. He and Anna gave us advice and tools of how to address each of the issues and also had our pet sitter attend our second session. We have been working with more socialization and our pup already has shown improvement since our first session. She is improving daily and we are thankful for Brennen's expertise and gentle approach. We highly recommend him to anyone needing help.

Our first visit with Brennen was amazing! He came into our home and started working with our pups right away. His natural ability to connect with our pups was truly amazing. His ability to quickly assess their behavior and teach us how to address and correct. We saw immediate improvements! He spent the time to teach us how to work with them. He also gave us the time to ask questions to ensure we understood why he did things. He gave us recommendations and suggestions. We will be continuing to work with Brennen. My wife and I highly recommend Beacon and will be sharing our experience with our friends and family. Thank you Brennen for your help and showing you love the work you do!!

Brennen at Beacon Dog is absolutely incredible! Our high-energy Lab mix, Moose, is a 4-year-old rescue who struggles with severe separation anxiety. We’d tried everything to crate train him because he was chewing furniture, remotes, and pillows — but Moose wouldn’t even go near the crate. Brennen immediately understood the situation and introduced us to a clear, step-by-step regimen to make the crate a positive space for Moose. What stood out most was Brennen’s ability to explain the entire process from a dog’s perspective. His insight, patience, and depth of knowledge put us completely at ease. Within just 30 minutes of our in-home training , Moose was inside his crate, and by the 40-minute mark, he was lying down and taking a nap — something we honestly thought would take weeks, if not months. It was nothing short of incredible. We’re beyond grateful to Brennan for what truly feels like a life-changing breakthrough for our dog (and us!), and will continue apply Brennen’s positive reinforcement methods to hopefully get Moose to reduce his separation anxiety and hopefully one day eliminate his anxiety all together. If your best friend is struggling with any behavioral issues or need expert training guidance, look no further — Brennen is the real deal.

We've only had one session so far. Brennan understood my very fearful, sometimes very scary dog quickly. Gunner, who we rescued from a bad situation backs people away from him in seconds with growls or just won't come near new people at all. He's especially afraid of men, my husband who he shares bedroom with he still doesn't trust, my son's and my brother in law have all been harassed by this dog when they come home for a year and a half. He's fear guarding all of the bedrooms in the house. He makes me nervous and I'm the closest human to him. We've started the exercises Brennan gave us and we're already seeing some changes in our Doberman Pitbull mix. He's also NEVER taken to a man so quickly. So far I'm very happy for Gunner and for us. I'm so confident that he'll get better and better now we found someone who understands his behaviors. I have no idea the abuse this handsome guy had endured his first year and a half of life. His fearful, anxious behavior, his weight when we brought him home and a scar from an embedded lead on his paw tells us he didn't have a great first year. With Brennan's help I can make sure every year he has left is full of love and happiness!

We got a new rescue who had a few behavior issues that we needed help with. Brennen showed up on time, and started working with us straight away. In just 1 session we have seen a huge difference in our pup! Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a better relationship with their dog.

Brennan was excellent with our dog Moose. He enlightened us with so much knowledge about how to teach/train our dog. We were absolutely thrilled ! We've only had 1 session and made great strides already. We've had rescue pets for years and thought we knew what we were doing all these years. We were wrong ! Brennan is your guy for sure!!!

Experience with our very first session exceeded all our expectations. We adopted a 16 month old German Shepherd from a Rescue and could not control her barking/growling/leaping every time we encountered another person or dog and were extremely worried she had intense guarding going on which is very challenging to correct. Within 15 minutes, Brennen assessed her behavior and to our great relief, it was something far more easy to correct than guarding. By the end of our first session she was sitting calmly and watching other people and dogs in the park go by...alert, but not displaying any of her previous and honestly, very scary behavior. Brennen gave us the correct tool needed for her situation and taught us how to use it! It felt like a miracle to see her so calm around others. We can't wait to practice with her!

I was in tears when a different trainer told me I should have him put down. But he’s just a puppy. He needs somewhere to feel safe… he needs somewhere to call home. My rescue dog suffers from fear aggression. I wasn’t sure if he could be helped until I spoke with Brennen. After only a month, I know everyone will get to see the side of Echo that I love, the goofy, playful, ‘please give me just one more treat’ puppy. Echo is home. ❤️

I’ve written and rewritten this review a dozen times because I NEEDED to make it clear that Brennen saved my life, my sanity and our home! We welcomed an 8 week old puppy into our family and from day one, I knew we had our work cut out for us. We were not first time dog owners and thought we knew how to train a dog, but we got what every trainer called “a unique dog.” He was smart and stubborn and 1000% tested every ounce of patience I had in my body. If truth be told, I spent more time than I like to admit sitting on my kitchen floor crying because I felt so helpless. Our beautiful adorable puppy felt that biting (SUPER hard - breaking skin), lunging and jumping was how you play and we could not figure out how to stop this behavior. For whatever reason, sitting on the couch was a trigger and for months, there was no time in our home to relax and our entire lives revolved around him and avoiding triggers. My husband and I had to take “turns” with him because it was too much for one person to handle all day and our days were spent apart from each other always ending in exhaustion and frustration. We made the mistake of hiring a “positive reinforcement” only trainer and it failed miserably. We ended up in a worse situation, new bad habits and we lost so much time in the early critical training stages. After ALL of these months of other trainers, I did some deep searching and THANK THE LORD I came across Brennen. Brennen immediately echoed what other failed trainers had told us, we had a “unique” puppy. The difference is, Brennen taught us methods and boundaries no one else knew to help us create. Brennen at every stage was empathetic and never made me feel silly while I cried and told him how I was feeling. I never felt like a failure and felt reassured that I wasn’t crazy. I hesitate to say the methods we use, because I’m sure every dog and situation is different, but what I can say is, WE FINALLY HAVE PEACE IN OUR HOME. We have a dog that knows boundaries, we can sit together as a family on the couch and our lives are so much better because we found Brennen. We are often told by friends and family how GREAT our dog is, and 100% of that credit goes to Brennen and what he taught us. I cannot recommend him enough, and if you need help, he is YOUR GUY! Brennen, I’ve said it a million times, but thank you!!! There will never be a way to show my gratitude in the way it deserves!
