Bayou City Hospice

On behalf of my whole family, I would like to thank the staff of Bayou City Hospice for the care they provided to our family as we navigated our mother's final days at Houston Methodist Hospital Willowbrook last month. It was a very difficult time for our family, but once Bayou City took over managing our mother's care in the hospital, we were able to focus on what mattered most, being with mom. We were particularly grateful for the way they made sure that our mother was not be moved to another facility, despite the hospital policy of allowing only 72 hours of hospice care onsite. Despite the hospital's interest in turning over the bed, Bayou City put the comfort of our mother and our family first and repeatedly and successfully made the case that moving mom so close to her transition was not in her best interest. It was a battle we didn't have to wage at a time we were vulnerable and we are forever grateful that they stood in the gap on our behalf. I highly recommend Bayou City Hospice.

The first point of contact was Venecia. She made sure that everything was set up before my mom made it home from the hospital. The staff was was awesome, especially Sabrina, LaToya, Kevin and of course Venecia. It is obvious that the staff is passionate about their job and not just there for a paycheck. I highly recommend Bayou City if your family member needs hospice. Thank you to everyone who was instrumental in making my mom comfortable during her last few days on earth.
