Baseer Rug cleaner

My experience with Baseer has been nothing but superb -- because of his professionalism, his focus on serving his clients, his talents and the quality of his work, and his reasonable pricing. It all started when Basser answered his work phone at 9pm on a Friday night months ago (I had planned to leave him a message). He took my info and called me back the next morning, as arranged. When Baseer came to my home the following Monday afternoon, we focused on two rugs - a small silk handmade Turkish that was in need of deep cleaning only and a 50-year old, 9’x14’ green and ivory Indo-Chinese medallion rug. This rug was severely and unevenly faded, had damage on a small border area due to resting under a heavy upholstered chair, a few 1-inch “pock marks” in ivory areas of the rug, and badly "eaten-up" and uneven fringe. . He worked with me on an approach that would bring the large rug back to life - stunning and “whole’ but, per my preference, showing small imperfections of age. And would keep the price in a range I was willing to spend at this point in time. After showing me some interim pictures post-repair, I realized it would be insane not to spend a little more to re-fringe the rug. Both rugs were back on my floors the following Monday afternoon and laid down by Baseer and his lovely wife, Veda. Already, I’ve gotten several “ooohs and aahs” from the small number of people who have seen the rugs. Baseer then took one more rug to clean and refringe - a Chinese English Garden woolen runner that hadn't been cleaned since I bought it in 1991/92. The pictures Baseer sent me after it was cleaned show such bright colors that it almost looks like a different rug. Along with the new fringe, it looks like new. In addition to being a delightful individual, Baseer is very knowledgeable and talented (he does some of the detailed color restoration himself). He loves his work, has a sharp and artistic eye, and believes that he does well when his work makes his customers happy. All this at very fair and reasonable prices. What more could I ask for?

Baseer is amazing! Family run business with a guarantee that they will do what thet promise! We tried cheap in home cleaning services and they couldn't get out the stains from our rug. It has two pile heights and is tricky. Baseer did what the others couldn't! Will go to them first the next time we need a rug cleaned!

Baseer is a gentleman who knows his rugs and everything they need to be cleaned and restored to almost new condition. He cleaned three rugs and made repairs to two of them for me. His work is that of a perfectionist. First of all, the care and professionalism shown as the rugs were collected was excellent. The returned rugs are very clean and the colors are bright and distinct again. Baseer and his son carefully centered the rugs in my rooms. Now, to describe the repairs! My Herriz rug looks as beautiful as the day it was purchased 25 years ago. We purchased our Bokhara rug over 40 years ago; the old fringe was very worn, with only single threads remaining. Baseer restored the fringe on the Bokharra; it is perfect again. Our Sarouk rug has been with us for 46 years. The binding on its sides had also become very worn. Baseer is the only man I will go to from now on! He is very knowledgeable about every aspect of cleaning and repairing quality rugs. He came to our house to pick up 12 of our rugs, cleaned and repaired them and then he and his wife delivered them and placed them in our new home on a weekend! He does it all and he does it all very well. We are very pleased with how the rugs turned out and the moth damaged one was repaired so well that I don’t even know where the repair is. The service was fast, efficient and very reasonably priced. Free pickup & delivery is an added bonus, if you live in the local area. Baseer knows a lot about the different types of rugs, their origins and approximate ages. He helped us to identify where and when ours came from. He is a very nice person to work with and I highly recommend his rug cleaning service!

This is a lovely, local, family business. They cleaned and repaired 3 rugs and a pillow for us. They were able to remove challenging pet stains and chewed corners. We are very happy with the result. They are extremely knowledgeable about their craft and easy to work with.

Update: 11/17/2021 Basser Oriental Rugs comes to the rescue again! This time we had some dye run into the white areas of the rug. Basser was able to remove any traces of the dye and it look brand new again! Baseer does excellent work. He has repaired many of our hand-made rugs. His attention to detail can be scene in the repair work. Once we had a dog chew the corner of a favorite rug from Pakistan. He rebuilt the corner and it blended into the rest of the rug. There have been a few rugs that we have let unravel near the fringe. Baseer talked us through the repair options and finds a way to make the old rug look great gain! Thank you!!!

Baseer and his team were able to restore and clean two oriental rugs that had been soaked in rust filled water from a faulty fire sprinkler head. They did a fantastic job at a reasonable price and with remarkable speed. He is very easy to work and a good communicator. Thank you 🙏

We noticed a moth infestation on a large, antique Persian carpet that had already done damage. We called Baseer immediately, and he came immediately on a late weekend afternoon. Baseer washed the rug numerous times, and oversaw a complete reknotting of the problematic regions. When Baseer delivered our rug back, it was beautifully bright and clean, and the areas of moth damage were completely fixed. There is no sign of the damage.
