We dealt with Jen from Barricade for an issue in an Edinburgh flat. Jen and Barricade in general were excellent - communicative, timely, friendly, knowledgeable and willing to accommodate when we asked to expedite part of the process. I'm also sure that if our expedition request hadn't been accepted, Jen and the team would have explained the reasons why. Top notch service.

Was very impressed with Barricade. From booking them, was given and exact time and a 15 minute notification of there arrival. They spent a full hour checking everywhere and gave me lots of advice and reassurance. Loved the fact I got a female, felt she got all my questions. Would recommend. I have used 2 other pest control companies, gave an extremely general time and came an very early for after lunch. The second again would only give a general time and put poision down, but didn't care. Said things like, impossible to keep all mice out. Its a detached house.

Phoned Barricade Pest Control yesterday morning in a total state as heard loud scratching in the attic in the early hours of that morning which completely freaked me out and had caught a mouse in a trap. Claire came out to the house today. Claire was amazing and quickly identified that it was in fact field mice entering and that we did not have an infestation and suggested covering outside air vents to prevent them getting access. She has totally put my mind at ease and I would highly recommend this company. I am even receiving a refund (hopefully I will not have to use them again, but would in a heartbeat). I used Barricade for a mouse infestation we had in our rental Victorian tenement flat in Edinburgh's Bruntsfield area. Our tenants had not been adhering to good housekeeping and hygiene standards, and the problem had gotten so out of control that what we'd tried to do as landlords to fix it was having no effect. Adam from Barricade is now on his fourth visit, and the difference is miraculous. Apart from doing the nasty work of checking for and removing dead mice, putting down poison safely, and checking for ingress points, he has also educated us as landlords and our tenants so that they are now living in a much cleaner environment. He was able to sensitively and without patronising the tenants, make them understand what they had done to create the situation, and what they could do to help rectify it. The service I've had from the rest of the team is great, with the office staff particularly being so helpful - nothing is too much trouble; they even sent messages to the tenants before visits to make sure they were in. Excellent service. We discovered a big wasps nest on the day of a kids party Jen visited and disposed of the wasps super fast and we were able to host the party as planned. Highly recommend this company

Over the past month, I have received 3 visits from Barricade to deal with mice infestation; the first was to assess the situation and put down poison; the second was to see whether there were any signs had nibbled the poison or continued to be present( they had now) and the third was to seal up the mouse holes which they had found. On each visit, I find them highly efficient and effective in what they were doing. I was particularly impressed by their Service Technician, Jen, who did the work. My thanks to her.

Excellent service from start to finish. Straightforward booking, tracking provided prior to arrival so I could keep an eye on location and be ready when Sean arrived. Treatment was tricky due to location of wasp nest and adverse weather but this was managed accordingly.

I was impressed by Barricade's responsiveness and professionalism. They were on-time for every appointment, sent notification texts well in advance of arrival and explained the rodent treatment options and costs to us clearly. A warning for people considering poisoning treatment for rodents though. If the targets die in a sub-floor or wall you will have a difficult decision to make. Ride out the stench, or make invasive investigations to discover and remove the source. Consider humane traps as an alternative - at least as a first measure.
